Oliviaโ€™s POV

โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€ I spat, making my way toward her.

Anita calmly folded her arms, glaring at me.

โ€œI didnโ€™t do it,โ€ she said suddenly, and my brows furrowed. โ€œI wish I had, but it wasnโ€™t me.โ€

I narrowed my eyes, glaring back. โ€œAnd you think Iโ€™ll believe that? That you arenโ€™t the one sending me those gifts?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m not the one!โ€ she snapped, stepping closer until our faces were inches apart. โ€œYou and I know Iโ€™m not the one, Oliviaโ€ฆ Olivia, you slapped me wrongly just to hide the person behind those gifts, and for this, I am going to expose you. Iโ€™m going to find out who your lover is, and I will make sure both of you are disgraced before the entire pack. Olivia, I swear on my life,โ€ she muttered, sounding furious.

I glared at her, wanting to cling to my suspicion that she did itโ€ฆ it had to be her. But deep down, I knew Anita. I knew when she was lying, and this wasnโ€™t one of those times. Her anger wasnโ€™t feigned. She was telling the truth.

Which brings me to the bigger questionโ€”if it wasnโ€™t her, then who might it be?

I glared at Anita. โ€œAre you threatening me?โ€

Anita scoffed, stepping even closer. โ€œIโ€™m not threatening you, Olivia. Iโ€™m making a promise. For slapping me and accusing me of something I didnโ€™t do, I will make sure you and your lover are exposed.โ€

With that, she turned and walked out of the room, while I watched her leave.

I was beyond confused. I didnโ€™t know what to think. It was clear that Anita wasnโ€™t the one who sent themโ€”then who is this mysterious person?

I stood by the window, my arms crossed over my chest, my eyes scanning the horizon, but my mind was elsewhere. Anita wasnโ€™t lying. I could feel it in her voice, in her eyes, in the fury that practically radiated from her. For once, her anger wasnโ€™t pettyโ€”it was personal.

I bit my lower lip, my fingers tapping against the glass. I couldnโ€™t afford to look weak or clueless. Not now. Not when someone was clearly trying to manipulate meโ€”or worse, land me in trouble.

โ€œYou need to set yourself free, Olivia,โ€ my wolf whispered inside me. โ€œFree from being grounded.โ€

And thatโ€™s when it hit meโ€”Louis. He owed me a favor. A big one.

Without wasting another second, I turned sharply and headed for the door.

โ€œI need to see Alpha Louis,โ€ I told the guards stationed outside.

โ€œI donโ€™t think Alpha Louis wants to see you,โ€ one of them said, his tone cautious.

โ€œDo what I said. And do it now,โ€ I snapped, my voice sharp with authority.

The guards outside my door didnโ€™t say a word, and soon I overheard retreating footsteps, knowing a guard was going to call Louis.

Slowly, I sat back on my bed and went into deep thought. Louis was still owing me a request, and he wasnโ€™t going to say no.

I wanted to reach out to my mother and tell her what was going on, but I held back. She had just traveled to her own pack. I asked her to leave, at least to take a break from this pack, and she is enjoying her life over at the Forest Pack. I canโ€™t worry her with my burdens. I have to do this on my own.

The door creaked open again, and I didnโ€™t need to turn to know who it was. I felt his presence before he even spoke. His scent, his aura, his barely contained frustrationโ€”it all rushed into the room like a tidal wave. I slowly turned my head, my expression unreadable as I met his gaze.

He stepped in, closing the door behind him with a soft but firm thud, and crossed his arms. His face was stone-cold, but his eyes were burning.

โ€œWell?โ€ he asked sharply. โ€œAre you ready to confess now? Ready to tell me who your lover is?โ€

I blinked slowly, rising from the bed, keeping my expression calm despite the anger brewing inside me.

โ€œI believe you havenโ€™t forgotten,โ€ I said softly.

Louisโ€™s brow furrowed. โ€œForgotten what?โ€

โ€œThat you owe me a favor.โ€

His frown deepened, his jaw tightening. โ€œOliviaโ€”โ€

โ€œNo,โ€ I cut him off, stepping forward. โ€œYou said, โ€˜Anything you ask, Iโ€™ll grant it.โ€™ Those were your exact words. And now Iโ€™m calling in that favor.โ€

He didnโ€™t speak for a moment, his eyes on me, trying to read me.

โ€œI want to be set free,โ€ I said clearly, folding my arms over my chest. โ€œNo more being locked in. I want to walk freely. I donโ€™t deserve to be grounded like some criminal.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re grounded because youโ€™re hiding something,โ€ he said through clenched teeth.

I frowned and glared at him. โ€œAre you granting my request, or should I let your brothers know what we did behind their backs? I believe they will be so disappointed in you,โ€ I threatened.

If only he knew what Iโ€™d done with Lennoxโ€ฆ the only innocent one in their little circle was Levi.

Louis moved closer and unexpectedly wrapped his hand around my neck, not choking me.

โ€œAre you threatening me?โ€ he asked angrily, his eyes full of rage.

I met his gaze, not backing down. โ€œYes. Iโ€™m threatening you, Alpha Louis. If, by the end of the day, you donโ€™t lift this punishment and let me go freeโ€ฆโ€

I stepped even closer, until there was barely any space between us.

โ€œโ€ฆIโ€™ll tell your brothers everything. Iโ€™ll let them know the woman you claim to hateโ€ฆ the one you so proudly accusedโ€ฆ you kissed her. You touched her. You did all kinds of things with her behind their backs.โ€

His nostrils flared, his grip on my neck tightening just a littleโ€”not enough to hurt, but enough to show he was losing control.

โ€œYou wouldnโ€™t dare,โ€ he growled.

I smirked. โ€œTry me. You know Iโ€™m not bluffing.โ€

A flicker of doubt passed through his eyes. He knew I wasnโ€™t lying. He remembered every moment just as clearly as I didโ€”every heated kiss, every stolen touch, every time his hands were on me like he couldnโ€™t help himself.

โ€œYou think you can blackmail me?โ€ he hissed.

I tilted my head slightly. โ€œCall it whatever you want. Iโ€™m done playing nice, Louis. You owe me a favor, and youโ€™re going to grant it. Or Iโ€™ll burn down this pretty little image youโ€™ve built around your brothers and the pack.โ€

For a second, we just stood there, staring each other downโ€”both breathing hard, both refusing to be the first to look away.

Then he released me. His hand dropped from my neck as he stepped back, his jaw clenched so tightly I thought he might shatter his own teeth.

And without a word, he suddenly stormed out of the room.
