Chapter 106

โ€œOlivia! Whatโ€™s wrong?โ€ His tone was panicked. Catlin also rushed into the ward. Seeing Oliviaโ€™s blood-covered mouth and the stained quilt, she screamed. โ€œAhโ€”โ€

โ€œOlivia? What happened? Stephanic, what did you do? Did you poison her?โ€ Catlin angrily accused Stephanie.

Chris frantically pressed the call bell. His gaze toward Olivia was cold. Stephanie reacted, and the ensuing chaos brought the doctor and nurse rushing in.

Five minutes later, Olivia was in the emergency room, and Catlin and Chris were barred from entering. Tyler approached Stephanie. โ€œWhat did you do to her? Stephanie, what did you do?โ€

Catlin stepped forward, furious. โ€œWe should focus on her illness! What are you fighting about?โ€ She raised her hand to slap Stephanie, but Stephanie intercepted her, throwing her into Tylerโ€™s arms. Catlin, already enraged, roared, โ€œCall the police! She poisoned Olivia!โ€

Catlin believed Stephanie was responsible; otherwise, Olivia wouldn't have suddenly vomited blood. Olivia had been under the care of top specialists.

Stephanieโ€™s eyes hardened. โ€œCall the police?โ€

Catlinโ€™s intention was clearโ€”to seek justice for Olivia. Though Stephanie had never shown affection for her biological mother, the thought of Catlin calling the police chilled her.

Catlinโ€™s tone was frigid. โ€œYouโ€™re vicious! I donโ€™t have a daughter like you!โ€ She yelled at Tyler, โ€œCall the police!โ€

Tyler hesitated, but recalling Olivia's condition, he decided Stephanie deserved consequences. He dialed the emergency number, reporting Stephanie for poisoning.

An hour later, Sebastian arrived at Whispering Bay. Before exiting his car, Stephanie called. โ€œSebastian, tell Elliot to bail me out.โ€

Sebastian was stunned. โ€œHuh?โ€

โ€œI got arrested,โ€ she explained.

Sebastianโ€™s aura immediately chilled. Even Elliot, driving ahead, shivered.

โ€œWhere are you?โ€ Sebastian asked icily.

โ€œThe Central Police Station,โ€ Stephanie replied.

โ€œI see.โ€ Sebastian hung up and told Elliot, โ€œGet me to the Central Police Station in ten minutes.โ€

Elliot was shocked. The drive was at least thirty minutes, especially during rush hour. But Sebastian's orders were absolute. Elliot took a shortcut, exceeding the speed limit and incurring the wrath of other drivers. They arrived within ten minutes.

Stephanie was being interrogated. โ€œYou poisoned Olivia. What poison did you use?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m waiting for my brother,โ€ Stephanie replied, her response consistent despite twenty minutes of interrogation.

The officer, enraged, slammed his pen on the table. โ€œEven if God comes, youโ€™ll answer! What are you waiting for? Talk!โ€

The interrogation room door slammed open.
