Chapter 276

Ever since she had been discharged from the hospital that morning, Olivia had no choice but to rely on oral medication to ease her pain. At the hospital, specialists had been administering her treatment daily, so the amount of prescribed medication she could take home was limited. The medicine they brought back today would only last for two days, and it did not seem to be working well. Since returning home, Olivia had barely eaten anything all day. The pain was unbearable; she simply could not eat.

After Oliviaโ€™s official discharge that morning, Catlin immediately called Tyler and Chad. However, neither of them returned until the evening. Chris also knew that Olivia had been discharged, yet he still had not shown up. When Catlin called him, Grace answered again. As expected, Grace lashed out at her over the phone, not holding back in the slightest.

Tylerโ€™s face darkened with rage as he gritted his teeth. โ€œSo now, there isnโ€™t a single hospital in all of Long Harbor willing to admit Olivia? Not even a doctor willing to do a house call?โ€ Stephanie, he wondered, was ruthless. Attacking the company was one thing, but now she was even interfering with Oliviaโ€™s treatment?

The Hart family might have been indifferent to Stephanie over the past two years, but they had not done anything unforgivable. And yet, Stephanie was being this cruel to them. Catlin nodded, her expression suffocated with frustration. โ€œYes. Stephanie is not just trying to destroy the company; she wants Olivia dead.โ€

โ€œThere is not a single doctor in Long Harbor willing to come to the house. Even our family doctor has resigned.โ€ Her tone was filled with hatred toward Stephanie as she spoke. Stephanie refused to acknowledge Catlin as her mother, and now she was trying to force Catlinโ€™s adopted daughter into a dead end. She was utterly ruthless.

Tyler clenched his fists, veins bulging on his forehead. โ€œThen we will send Olivia abroad for treatment.โ€ Catlin and Chad were momentarily stunned. The moment Tyler suggested sending Olivia abroad for treatment, everyone realized it was a good idea. Ever since Olivia returned, Stephanie had been turning the world upside down. If they sent Olivia away, perhaps Stephanie would finally stop causing trouble. Chad nodded firmly. โ€œThen letโ€™s get her out of here as soon as possible.โ€

Truth be told, he had never supported Oliviaโ€™s return in the first place. When Olivia called and said she was sick, his first suggestion had been to let her receive treatment abroad. But Catlin had insisted on bringing Olivia back, thinking it would be easier to take care of her in Long Harbor. Had he known that bringing Olivia back would lead to this, Chad would never have agreed, no matter what.

Upon thinking about the companyโ€™s current losses, Chadโ€™s face turned even grimmer. And now, he was beginning to realize that the Olivia they had raised might not be as simple as they had always believed. Chad looked at Tyler. โ€œYou handle this.โ€ Tyler nodded. โ€œAlright.โ€

The family discussed their plan to send Olivia away. Just before they finished, Chad received an urgent call from the company and had to leave first. Before leaving, Chad told Tyler to stay at home for the night. Tyler was worried about Olivia, so he agreed without hesitation.

He headed to Oliviaโ€™s room. In just one day, she looked even more frail. โ€œTyler, you are finally back.โ€ Her voice was choked with emotion, filled with grievance. After all, when Olivia had been in the hospital, both Tyler and Chris had been by her side. But now, after coming home, the house was cold and quiet. Catlin, in her panic, was completely helpless. She had not even managed to find a doctor. Olivia felt like she was going to die from the pain.

Seeing her in this state, Tyler stepped forward. โ€œDid you take your medicine?โ€ He did not even need to ask how she was feeling. Just by looking at her face, he knew it was bad.

Olivia gasped for breath. โ€œTyler, it hurts. It really hurts. The medicine is useless. Am I going to die?โ€ The pain was unbearable. Catlin kept telling her to eat something, but she physically could not. Tyler reassured her. โ€œYou wonโ€™t. Donโ€™t say such foolish things.โ€

โ€œBut it really hurts. I cannot eat anything at all.โ€ Tears rolled down Oliviaโ€™s face as she pleaded, โ€œCan you find a specialist to come here and check on me?โ€ She was in agony. She could not take it anymore. The medicine they brought home from the hospital was ineffective without IV treatment.

Tyler froze for a moment. Hearing Olivia request a house call from a doctor, he felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
