Chapter 353

She remembered how much she had been through on the way back. Sure, she felt exhausted, but she couldnโ€™t let that lead to sleeping with him. Stephanie always felt like her idea of sleeping and Sebastianโ€™s were totally different things.

His hand paused at the button of her tank top. Seeing she wasnโ€™t willing to let go, he lowered his gaze and asked, โ€œThen what do you want to do?โ€

โ€˜See? Weโ€™re clearly not on the same page,โ€™ she thought.

Sebastian chuckled softly. โ€œCome on, just sleep.โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t believe you,โ€ said Stephanie.

Sebastian raised an eyebrow. โ€œOh?โ€

Stephanie glanced at him with feigned weakness. โ€œI can sleep, but I want to sleep alone.โ€

The mischief in Sebastianโ€™s smile deepened. In a hurry, Stephanie hopped into bed and buried herself under the covers, but just a moment later, Sebastian climbed in after her and pulled her into his embrace.

Outside, Macro heard the sounds coming from the lounge and said, โ€œSebastian is really taking his sweet time waiting for Stephanie to grow up. I can understand it, really.โ€

Elliot shot him a look. โ€œIf you get it, then keep your mouth shut.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m just saying when we get back to Fiorenza, Stephanie might be in for a tough time.โ€

Elliot wondered, โ€˜Is he talking about Ms. Lucano?โ€™

He glanced at Macro. โ€œMs. Lucano is already making preparations for the wedding.โ€

Macro looked shocked. โ€œWhat? Wedding preparations? Ms. Lucano? Sheโ€™s actually accepting it? Isnโ€™t she going to try to stop Sebastian and Stephanie?โ€

โ€˜Well, I guess blood runs deeper than water. It makes sense that theyโ€™d come together so easily,โ€™ Macro thought.

After an eight-hour flight, they finally arrived at Keris Isle. Having been cooped up in the plane for so long, Stephanie could feel her ears ringing. She desperately needed to get off that plane and breathe in some fresh air. But here she was, in Sebastianโ€™s arms, with no strength to move. She pouted. โ€œYou are such a bad guy.โ€

Honestly, she couldnโ€™t wrap her head around how he knew so many tricks when he used to have no women around him. As he helped her change clothes, Sebastian smirked and said, โ€œYeah, Iโ€™m a bad guy.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m so tired,โ€ Stephanie sighed, feeling limp as she let him dress her. Sebastian found her a white T-shirt to wear, paired with a pink skirt. Looking at the puffy pink skirt, she grumbled, โ€œIโ€™m not a little kid anymore.โ€ Especially with that white T-shirt, which had a childish Peter Pan collar. And the woven fisherman hat sitting aside made her feel like a little girl all over again.

Sebastian slipped the skirt on her. โ€œElliot had someone prepare these outfits according to your style in Fiorenza.โ€

It was true that Stephanieโ€™s fashion sense had improved over the years. This time in Long Harbor, many of her clothes looked really sophisticated. Had her maturity come from the Hart family pushing her to grow up? The thought of the Hart family made a flash of coldness cross Sebastianโ€™s eyes as he held her.

โ€œOkay,โ€ she replied softly. She knew it wasnโ€™t about her style in Fiorenza. All her clothes back in Fiorenza were picked out by Sebastian. To him, she had never really grown up, so naturally, the outfits he arranged for her were all for kids.

โ€œWhatโ€™s the UV like outside? I need sunscreen,โ€ Stephanie said.

โ€œIโ€™ll put it on you,โ€ Sebastian replied without missing a beat. He took her to the restroom to wash her face, applying a special cream and finishing off with sunscreen spray.

โ€œIs that better now?โ€ he asked afterward.

Stephanie extended her fair little arms. โ€œYou missed this part.โ€

Sebastian chuckled. โ€œSuch a diva.โ€

After some fussing around, Sebastian led Stephanie out of the lounge, where Macro was waiting. When he saw Stephanieโ€™s outfit and then looked at Sebastian, who was in black pants and a white shirt, he raised an eyebrow.

โ€œYou know, this doesnโ€™t look like youโ€™re bringing your wife; it looks more like youโ€™re bringing your little daughter,โ€ Macro asked.

Stephanie couldnโ€™t help but feel speechless. Elliot turned his face away, thinking that both Lorenzo and he had wasted their breath warning Macro. Macroโ€™s mouth was running faster than his brain. Realizing what he had said, he quickly ducked behind Elliot to escape the awkward situation.
