Chapter 503

Outside, Tyler kept wailing. Inside, Stephanie was totally absorbed in her game.

By the time Sebastian arrived, Tyler had already been chased away by Henry. Yanis, who had come along with Sebastian, didnโ€™t look too happy. Henry reported to Sebastian about Tylerโ€™s antics and added, โ€œSorry, I mightโ€™ve been a bit too rough.โ€ Tyler had been trying to get close to Stephanie, so Henry hadnโ€™t made it easy for him. But he also knew Sebastian had been giving Tyler the cold shoulder, so he was worried heโ€™d been too rough.

Sebastian joked, โ€œHis arms were broken, huh?โ€ He secretly marveled at Tylerโ€™s high pain tolerance, considering how Tyler could still tussle with Henry despite the injury. Henry nodded. โ€œGuess I was being a bit of a bully, huh?โ€

Sebastian chuckled but didnโ€™t bite on Henryโ€™s comment. Instead, he turned to Yanis. โ€œYouโ€™ve got ten minutes to convince her to stay. Or elseโ€ฆโ€ He left his words hanging.

Yanis didnโ€™t want Allison to leave, but Stephanie was determined to take her. If Allison wasnโ€™t staying in Long Harbor willingly, they were going with her. Yanis frowned, looking like he wanted to fight it, but he knew better than to push back against Sebastian.

Sebastian walked into the hospital room and saw Stephanie glued to her phone, playing some game. The noise was pretty loud. โ€˜Sheโ€™s definitely picked up some new habits in Long Harbor,โ€™ he sighed inwardly.

Stephanie barely looked up as Sebastian walked in. โ€œYouโ€™re back already?โ€ Sebastian glanced at his watch. โ€œItโ€™s getting late. Itโ€™s been over two hours since I called you.โ€ โ€œYeah, time flies when youโ€™re having fun,โ€ Stephanie muttered, still focused on her game.

Without warning, Sebastian reached down and lifted her off the bed. She jolted in surprise. โ€œHey, what are you doing? Put me down.โ€ โ€œJust keep playing,โ€ he said, ignoring her protests. Stephanie squirmed. โ€œWait, what about Allisonโ€”โ€ โ€œShut up,โ€ Sebastian cut her off sharply.

Stephanie was left speechless. As Sebastian carried her to the door and she saw Yanis waiting outside, it all made sense. Her mood for gaming evaporated. She put her phone away and shot Sebastian a resentful look.

Sebastian carried her straight into the next room. As soon as he set her down on the bed, she looked up at him. โ€œWhat now? Didnโ€™t you say youโ€™d handle it?โ€ She knew Yanis was the last person Allison wanted to see right now. Sebastian flicked her forehead gently. โ€œSilly girl.โ€ Stephanie just blinked, confused.

โ€œHow long has Allison been with Yanis?โ€ Sebastian asked.

Stephanie thought for a moment, โ€˜How many years has it been? A long time. Allison joined the Lewises at five, and Yanis has been looking out for her ever since.โ€™ Stephanie looked at Sebastian and said, โ€œLately, Allisonโ€™s been going through some rough patches. Todayโ€™s car accident is a clear sign that someone close to Yanis is trying to hurt her.โ€ From the way things had gone today, it was obvious that a lot had changed around Yanis lately.

Sebastian sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her into his arms. It felt like second nature to him; every time he sat down, he just had to hold her. Stephanie squirmed, but she couldnโ€™t break free, so she finally gave up.

Sebastian said, โ€œWhatever happened between her and Yanis, itโ€™s something they need to work out. Running away wonโ€™t fix anything.โ€ Stephanie stayed quiet. โ€˜Maybe Sebastian is right. But if Allison wants to leave, Iโ€™ll go with her. I donโ€™t care if sheโ€™s running away or not,โ€™ she thought.
