Chapter 510
โBut why is Stephanie so special? Why does the Lucano family treat her like a queen? How can the famous Mr. Giovanni from Fiorenza spoil her like this?โ Tyler thought.
Sebastianโs anger toward the Hart family had reached a whole new level. It felt endless. By the time Tyler snapped out of it, Stephanie had already walked away. He wanted to chase after her, but she was gone.
Tyler was so mad that he screamed and slapped himself hard twice. He couldnโt stop thinking about how cold and ruthless Stephanie had been toward him, and how sheโd treated the Hart family like they were nothing. It was driving him crazy.
โWhat the hell do I do now? How am I supposed to fix this mess?โ he thought. โI canโt just leave things like this, can I?โ
No matter what he tried, he couldnโt find a way out. Everyone who used to be friendly with the Hart family now hung up on him as soon as they heard his name. The Hart family was like a rat in the street nowโeveryone avoiding them.
Tyler stood there fuming for what felt like forever. He still wanted to find Stephanie, but she was nowhere to be found. As he stood there, someone accidentally bumped into him, knocking him to the ground. Furious and with nowhere to let out his anger, Tyler lost control.
He jumped up and yelled at the person, โWatch where youโre going! Are you blind? If you canโt see, why donโt you just get rid of your eyes?โ Then he realized it was just a kid who had bumped into him. The kidโs parents were having none of it. They immediately started beating him up.
โWhat kind of animal are you? Cursing at a kid like that?โ the parents yelled.
Tylerโs angry attitude disappeared in an instant. The rage he hadnโt been able to release before now exploded even worse. In the end, Tyler wasnโt even sure how he managed to drag his beaten body back to the Hart residence.
Because of the unpaid wages, two of the servants had already been driven away by Oliviaโs attitude, and the butler had left, too. The only one still hanging on was Lucy from the kitchen. She was waiting to get paid, so she was gritting her teeth and sticking it out. But she wasnโt giving Tyler or Olivia any kind of warm welcome. Nothing made a worker more upset than not getting paid.
When Lucy saw Tyler come back bruised and battered, she didnโt even ask what happened. She just turned her face away, not saying a word. Her attitude was as cold as ice.
Tyler noticed that even a cook dared to give him attitude, and it set him off again. He snapped, โGet out! If you want to work, then work. If not, get lost! Who do you think youโre giving attitude to, huh?โ
The anger he felt now was something the Hart family had never seen beforeโnot even at their highest point. โWhat the hell had all this turned into?โ he thought.
Lucy heard him and scoffed. She muttered under her breath, โAs soon as I get paid, Iโm out of here.โ
โDoes he really think anyone can stand being here? It was bad enough when they treated us like garbage when we were getting paid. Now theyโre not even paying us, and still acting like they own the place?โ she thought.
Tylerโs head was pounding from the rage. He snorted and ignored Lucy, storming upstairs. Lucy watched him go and then spat on the floor. โUnbelievable. People really think theyโre in the right for not paying their workers these days.โ
Tyler limped up the stairs. As he reached the hallway, he heard Oliviaโs voice coming from her room. โYouโre my aunt! If you donโt help me, who else will?โ
โIf it werenโt for me getting you into the company, you think youโd be living this good life now? Iโm seriousโgo to my dad and make him cover the medical bills!โ Olivia yelled into the phone, her voice filled with urgency.
Tyler wasnโt sure exactly what they were talking about, but it was obvious from the way Olivia was speaking that she was getting worked up. When Olivia mentioned โmy dad,โ Tyler instantly realized who she was talking to. His face immediately darkened.
He walked slowly toward Oliviaโs room, his fists clenched tight. Standing in the doorway, Tyler saw Olivia sitting at her vanity, talking on the phone. She had her back to him and didnโt notice he was there. His body was tense, every muscle tight with anger.
He couldnโt hear the other side of the conversation, but Oliviaโs yelling was clear. โWhat do you mean by โnot your auntโ? What the hell are you talking about?โ
She continued, โYou think just because you gave my dad twins, you own the whole Hart family now? Think again! Tyler and I are still here! Now, give me 13 millionโโ
The woman on the other end was denying that she was Oliviaโs aunt, and it was the final straw for Olivia. Olivia screamed into the phone, her voice dripping with fury. โWithout me, youโd still be stuck washing dishes somewhere! You wouldnโt have this life! You ungratefulโฆ Hello? Hello?โ
Before she could finish, the woman hung up. Furious, Olivia slammed the phone down on the dresser. It made a loud crash, and she immediately started coughing violently.
