Chapter 571

Chris wasn’t home. When Tyler arrived, he learned Grace was in the hospital and Chris was with her. Claire met him.

Claire was about to leave, suitcase in hand. The Ashford family problems weren't going away anytime soon, and she didn't want to deal with them. She had other things going on and didn't want to be burdened by family issues.

When Claire saw Tyler, she glared. “What? Are you here to speak up for Olivia again?” Claire genuinely couldn't stand Tyler.

Claire thought, Who would be like him, unable to distinguish right from wrong? To Claire, everyone in the Hart family seemed a little strange.

Claire’s sarcasm made Tyler uncomfortable. “I’m here to see Chris.”

Claire sneered, “It doesn’t matter who you find. The Ashford family won’t accept Olivia now.” She made it clear.

Hearing Claire’s firm tone, Tyler’s expression soured. “I’m not here because of Olivia.”

Claire thought, Call her by her full name? That’s unusual. Everyone in the Hart family always uses her nickname. Did he suddenly wake up? “So what do you want to do?” Claire asked.

“The Hart family has recently run into some trouble. I’m just—” Tyler began.

“That’s more than just a bit of trouble, isn’t it?” Claire interrupted.

Sebastian was Stephanie’s supporter, and while others might not know, Claire, having traveled extensively abroad, was familiar with Sebastian’s reputation. He controlled all of Fiorenza’s underground activities. Many underground organizations relied on him. Claire thought, Getting involved with someone like him means the Hart family is in for more than just a little trouble. With Claire’s raised voice, Tyler was speechless. This was more than a minor issue.

Seeing him fall silent, Claire chuckled, “The Ashford family can’t fix your kind of trouble right now.”

“The Ashford family is also being messed with by Mr. Giovanni.” Talking about the family’s current problems gave Claire a headache.

Claire thought, The Ashford family is in such a mess, yet Chris and Steven are still fighting. What’s the fight about in a broken home? Shouldn’t the priority be getting through this crisis?

‘Honestly, Sebastian is ruthless. This whole mess was caused by Chris, who spent money with Tyler to hire Phantom X to take Stephanie’s life.’

Thinking about it, Claire looked at Tyler with even more annoyance. “Just leave, the Ashford family can’t handle this.”

“Not to mention Mr. Giovanni, now the Hodge family isn’t letting you off either. Who has the power to save you all?” Claire’s tone was filled with disgust when speaking about the Hodge family.

Claire thought, How bold can you be? Jackson from the Hodge family is a tough character, yet Tyler still dares to toy with Lilian.

The Ashford family was too preoccupied with their own issues to help the Hart family. Tyler was dismissed by Claire, leaving Olivia outside, where she collapsed to the ground.

Olivia’s frail body looked like a broken kite, completely lifeless. Tyler glanced at her coldly and drove away without looking back. The Hart family had spoiled Olivia so much in the past; Tyler was equally heartless and indifferent now.

Over in Fiorenza, Stephanie couldn’t stay awake and fell asleep. In her drowsy state, she felt herself being wrapped in a warm embrace. She lifted her heavy eyelids slightly and saw it was Sebastian. Softly, she asked, “Are you back?”

Sebastian kissed her forehead and said, “Yes, go to sleep.”

Sebastian didn’t go to his room to sleep, ignoring Lottie’s words. Even if they did nothing, he would hold Stefi and sleep.
