Chapter 702
Soña laughed coldly, putting her gun away just as the security and bodyguards rushed into the room. She shot Dan one last look. “Consider yourself lucky. I’ll let you keep your sad life—for now.”
Sofia didn’t say another word. She jumped out the window. When the security team and bodyguards rushed in, they saw a big, burned hole in the hospital bed.
Samuel hurried to Dan’s side, looking scared.
“What do you think she’ll do next?” Dan asked, his voice low and angry, his eyes filled with raging emotions.
Samuel took a moment before saying, “That bitch hates you so much.”
Just moments ago, she really tried to kill Dan. What she might do next was unclear. But one thing was for sure: with her fiery temper, she could bring chaos.
The word “bitch” made Dan look sharply at Samuel, his eyes intense. Samuel felt his heart race under that stare.
“Damn it! What’s going on in her head?” Dan cursed, his frustration boiling over.
The thought of her strong faith in Richard was like a thorn in his side. The more Dan thought about it, the angrier he became. His vision blurred, and he blacked out again.
“Doctor! He’s fainted again!” Samuel yelled, panic in his voice.
In the past few days, this must’ve been said in the hospital room a million times. And each time the doctor brought Dan back, they kept telling him to control his emotions.
Since Stephanie got pregnant, Sebastian had been spending almost all his time with her. During breakfast, when Lottie came back to grab something, she saw Sebastian putting a glass of milk in front of Stephanie.
Stephanie scrunched her face, not wanting it. “No, I don’t want it,” she said firmly. She used to like milk, but Sebastian made her drink it too often, and now she couldn’t stand it.
Seeing her hesitation, Sebastian leaned in and said gently, “Come on, just a little sip.”
“I don’t wanna!” Stephanie pouted stubbornly.
Lottie watched as Sebastian tried to coax Stephanie like a child, a small smile on her face. Henry noticed her return and was about to approach her.
Lottie put a finger to her lips, telling him to stay quiet. She clearly didn’t want to interrupt the young couple’s moment.
After all, Sebastian had been very upset during their three years apart. Now that he finally had Stephanie back, Lottie wasn’t going to ruin their time together.
Lottie quietly went upstairs.
Eventually, Stephanie gave in and drank half the glass of milk. “Yuck, it tastes awful,” she complained.
Sebastian placed a sunny-side-up egg on her plate. “What do you want to drink?” His voice was soft, like he was talking to a little kid.
“Juice,” Stephanie replied right away. She really wanted something refreshing.
“Okay, I’ll get it for you,” Sebastian said.

Stephanie cheered, feeling excited at the thought of fresh juice.
Sebastian gave Henry a look, and Henry quickly went to prepare fresh juice. Since Stephanie was pregnant, every meal and drink she had was planned carefully.
Stephanie had just taken a bite of her sunny-side-up egg when Lorenzo stormed in, looking angry. Sebastian frowned, giving Lorenzo a sharp look.
It was the first time Stephanie had seen Lorenzo like this. He was usually calm and indifferent.
“Something’s wrong?” Sebastian asked. Nothing ordinary could make Lorenzo this stressed.
Sebastian, but right now, he seemed genuinely upset.
Lorenzo looked at Sebastian, then turned to Stephanie. When their eyes met, her heart raced, a sense of dread taking over. “This is about me, isn’t it?”
Stephanie thought, ‘I’m pregnant and staying home, being good. I haven’t caused any trouble, and I barely leave the house!’
“Ella is missing,” Lorenzo said, his voice heavy.
Stephanie froze. “Are you serious? How does that even happen?” she exclaimed, her mind racing.
She added, “Could it be those creepy twins? No way—one’s hurt, and the other can’t do anything. Lorenzo’s place is like a fortress. The twins hardly make it out.”
