Chapter 103
Stephanie had nothing to discuss with Olivia. She might as well strike directly. But Chris's personal visit confirmed Olivia's continued misbehavior, even with her three cancers. "Guess God hasn't been hard enough on her yet," Stephanie mused. Since Olivia sought trouble, Stephanie would play along.
"Hold on; let me make a call first," she said.
"To who?" Chris asked.
"My baby. Can't I check in about my plans?" Stephanie replied.
Chris nearly choked. "You have gone…"
Before he finished, Stephanie brushed him aside and called Sebastian. His smooth voice answered, "Off work already?"
"Heading to the hospital. Should be back in half an hour. Home yet?"
"Not yet."
"Okay, I'll head over first. Bye," she said, smiling.
"You're going to mess with the Hart family? That bored?" Sebastian joked.
Stephanie muttered, "Can't exactly leave without playing them badly first," and ended the call. She had unfinished business with the Harts, especially Olivia. Ideally, Olivia would die before Stephanie left for Fiorenza; otherwise, Stephanie would ensure her imprisonment.
Just then, her phone rang—Ella.
"Hello, Ella."
"I saw an emerald and sent it. Help me check it."
"No time now. Send it; I'll check later."
"What are you busy with?"
"Olivia's at it again."
Ella paused. Olivia was such a drama queen. "She has three cancers and still has the energy to act up?"
Stephanie snorted. "Exactly. I'm checking if she's actually sick."
"Yeah, you better. Wouldn't put it past her to fake illness to drag you down."
"Got it." Stephanie ended the call and saw Chris, clearly impatient, limping towards her. Still limping? Tsk. Looks like I didn't kick him hard enough, she thought, wanting to cripple him.
"Done with your call?" His tone was irritated.
Stephanie put away her phone. "Yep. Let's go."
She'd estimated half an hour, but Olivia's hospital was farther than expected. The drive alone took forty minutes.
In the ward, Stephanie crossed her legs, idly filing her chipped nail. It had broken when she hit Lilian.
Olivia, noticing Stephanie's composure, felt hatred. She turned to Chris. "Chris, can you step out? I'd like to talk to Stefi alone."
Chris hesitated, glancing at Olivia with concern. He remembered Stephanie's unpredictable attack outside Ashford Group—pure chaos, unrestrained.
Seeing his worry, Olivia smirked. "It's fine. Go ahead."
Chris nodded but warned Stephanie, "Olivia just finished treatment. Don't do anything reckless."
Stephanie chuckled. "Oh, I can't promise that."
If Olivia was causing trouble for no reason, Stephanie wouldn't let her get away with it. She never let things go easily. Years ago in Fiorenza, she'd had enough of the Casalini family's threats. Now that the Harts couldn't threaten Sebastian, she was even less tolerant.
"Shut up…" Chris exploded.
