Chapter 110: You Really Have a Knack for Making Money

The news left fans reeling: the artist and manager had terminated their contract. Speculation ran rampant. Maverick addressed some questions in a live stream.

"This has nothing to do with the stage play," he clarified. "Those are just rumors. The script was entirely under my control. The rumors about an affair with my manager are unfounded. We've never been romantically involved" He paused, his tone shifting. His gaze became serious, as if addressing someone specific.

"I know you're watching," he continued. "I'm grateful for your companionship. Much of my growth is thanks to you. I regret letting you down. Even though you've been skeptical, wanting us to break up, I'll prove our love is genuine. Our relationship won't" He grasped Mirabelle's hand, lifting it.

Isabella furrowed her brows. "Something doesn't seem right," she murmured.

Alexander stated firmly, "Half-truths are deceptive. While Danielle isn't involved in their recent breakup and reconciliation, she played a role in their separation five years ago. Maverick mentioned her involvement but omitted the main cause. Nonetheless, every word he spoke was accurate. Danielle's sympathy shifted public opinion."

Isabella looked at Alexander, bewildered. "Why the long way around?"

The comments slowed, then erupted:

Danielle could defend her reputation only if Maverick and the others blatantly vilified her. She had evidence of her diligence and dedication. Danielle knew about the conspiracy theories.

Isabella's shoulders trembled.

Alexander's words trailed off, his heart faltering. He wanted to comfort her, but she burst into uproarious laughter.

"I never thought I'd get this opportunity! It took time to let things go, to embrace letting things slide. Don't stir up trouble; some issues are best kept to oneself. But since you're asking for it, don't blame me if my patience" Alexander was confused. "I could tell you were struggling."

He watched Isabella use her phone, upload two video files, and send private messages to marketing accounts.

Alexander thought, "You're really going to sell that? You're a genius at making money! Almost missed out on a billion, didn't you?"

Christopher said, "Wasn't it you?"

Alexander replied, "No need for me." He couldn't stand in the way of his wife's money-making scheme.

The videos revealed much more. One showed balcony confrontations, exposing inconsistencies in the breakup timeline and an intense kissing scene. It clarified that Danielle had only suggested the breakup five years ago, not manipulated it. Someone else had played a part. Another highlighted the contract termination scene, addressing the unfair blame on the script, Maverick's narcissism, and Danielle's innocence.

Alexander couldn't help but laugh. They would be crushed.

Isabella laughed, sipping her warm milk. She realized Alexander had poured it for her. How awkward. How did he know she drank warm milk before bed?

She looked at Alexander, engrossed in the video, and began to explain.

Alexander said, "Thankfully you captured it."

Isabella glanced at his injured arm. He rarely took breaks. She doubted it was for her company; it was probably due to his injury.
