Chapter 232: Catch Them Red-Handed

"Roland" Sasha sobbed, tears streaming down her face. She pleaded, hoping for leniency. "You know I've always wanted a family, a child."

Roland was puzzled. "We can have more children in the future. Why insist on keeping this one? Isn't this a mark of humiliation? Won't seeing the child remind you of what happened?"

Sasha's sobs choked her. She was taken aback.

Feeling exhausted, Roland pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "The wedding will proceed as planned today, but afterward, you have two choices: First, you give up this child, and we start over. Second, if you insist on keeping the child, we won't register our marriage, and I'll announce our divorce, taking all the blame."

The wedding had to take place. If they didn't marry that day, Sasha would face intense criticism. Having already endured such a blow, he couldn't bear to let her suffer further from rumors and gossip.

Sasha stared at Roland in shock, her eyes vacant, as if she had lost her greatest support. She felt adrift, consumed by anxiety and fear. She reached out, attempting to grasp him.

Roland didn't give her a chance to speak. "Sasha, this is the best I can do."

Sasha's hand paused; she cried harder.

Hearing this, Isabella and Alexander finally breathed a sigh of relief. It seems Roland is a good person, but he has his limits. He doesn't blame the so-called victim, but he also won't let the criminal escape the consequences. It's just that Dude, you shouldn't let her choose. You're a gentleman, but she doesn't deserve it! And does this wedding have to go on?

Roland was extremely distressed and couldn't calm himself to comfort Sasha. "In an hour, the ceremony will begin. Think it through carefully," he told her. He had done his best for someone he had cherished for years.

As he left the room, Isabella and Alexander saw the despair etched on his face. He looked as if he had died inside. Seeing him unsteady on his feet, Alexander offered support, but Roland waved him off. "I'm fine. I'm fine."

From the room behind them came continuous sobbing. Roland furrowed his brows. "Let's go."

Isabella and Alexander accompanied him to the lounge downstairs to rest.

"I'm going to deal with Ethan," Roland said to Alexander. "He must pay for what he did." Alexander didn't answer, instead asking bluntly, "Are you still going to hold the wedding?" Isabella gave her husband a thumbs-up, silently praising his bravery.

Part 2

They had initially planned to just stand by and watch Roland be deceived. Even though it didn't directly concern them, they would feel guilty if they didn't take action to help their friend. However, if they intervened and their good intentions were disregarded, they wouldn't interfere further.

Sure enough, Roland was taken aback. He frowned. "This situation is painful for me, but Sasha is pitiful too. She didn't betray me intentionally. I can't just abandon her." He assumed his friends were simply standing up for him.

"Really? It wasn't intentional?" Alexander replied coldly.

"What do you mean by that?" Roland was startled.

"I don't think she's as passive and innocent as she appears. Maybe she was willing from the start," Alexander stated bluntly.

"Isn't this just blaming the victim?" Roland became agitated.

Isabella quickly interjected, "Are you sure she was forced?"

Roland was about to nod when Alexander said, "In the surveillance videos sent to you, if even one of them shows their first betrayal, think about what that means."

Roland froze, his body stiffening as he realized the implications. "But you don't know if the first time is in the videos."

Alexander shrugged. "So, everything is possible. Just think it through. A wedding is important. Don't waste it on someone unworthy. We don't trust her."

With that, Alexander stopped talking and led Isabella away. Isabella was still confused.

After stepping out, she asked, "What did you mean by that?"

Alexander explained, "In those videos, Sasha showed only minimal resistance. If she were a true victim, she would have had the chance to seek help the first time. However, she didn't. That leaves two possibilities: either the initial incident isn't in the videos, or she was willing from the start."

Isabella understood. Alexander was planting a seed of doubt in Roland's mind.

"Is that enough?" Isabella asked.

Shaking his head, Alexander replied, "I don't know either. We'll have to wait and see."

After rejoining Alexander's friends, they were surrounded by questions.

Meanwhile, Stephanie was about to leave, having found no answers, when she saw Roland in the lounge. Thinking it over, she approached him. Roland seemed deep in thought, a frown marring his brows. "Mr. Roland"

Roland looked up abruptly, eyes filled with confusion. Seeing her, he calmed down and frowned. "Hasn't he left yet?"

Stephanie pressed her lips together. "He's treating his wounds. He'll leave soon. I have a few things to clarify."

Roland thought for a moment and said, "You want to know about his past?"

Stephanie nodded.

Without hesitation, Roland recounted Ethan's high school history. When Stephanie heard the true reason for Ethan's disfigurement, her face turned pale.

"Is everything you said true?"

Stephanie's face was pale, her eyes red, yet she stubbornly held back tears. Roland couldn't help but sympathize with her.

"Ms. Nox, if you don't believe me, you can investigate. He pursued you with a purpose. There are some things I can't say, but I advise you to be cautious in choosing a partner. The man you're with is a wolf in sheep's clothing."

"Roland!" A voice called out.

Roland turned to see his father, Owen, approaching. This lounge was empty, but the corridors on both sides were open, so if someone raised their voice or listened closely, they could hear the conversation. Owen had heard it.

Roland gave his father a cold smile. If Ethan dared to do such things, how could I let him keep Stephanie as a backer?

Owen was anxious to speak, but Stephanie was already leaving in a hurry to question Ethan. She nearly bumped into someone as she exited the lounge but didn't notice.

Unable to chase after Stephanie, Owen could only look at Roland angrily. "Roland, what are you doing?"

"Dad, did I say anything wrong? Or do you also want your illegitimate son to marry the eldest daughter of the Nox family, so he can rightfully take my place and gain the confidence to claim his heritage?" Roland wasn't oblivious to the scheming in wealthy families; he just chose not to address it openly.

"Shut up! What are you talking about?" Owen knew this confrontation was inevitable. "Ethan is a mistake I made when I was young, but he's still your brother."

Roland laughed. He wanted to reveal how his "brother" had betrayed him and committed despicable acts, but Owen probably couldn't handle such a scandal.

"Dad, you don't need to explain to me. Save it for Mom."

"What? Your mother is in poor health. She can't take such shocks. We need to handle this carefully." Handling it carefully meant Ethan would be exposed sooner or later.

Roland scoffed, "You knew that, but when you did such disgraceful things, did you consider my mom's health?"

Part 3

"Just because others are filthy doesn't mean you have to be filthy too. Just because others eat sh*t, do you have to eat it too?"

Owen nearly fainted from Roland's sudden vulgarity, but it showed Roland's fury.

"Fine, fine. I won't argue with you. The wedding is about to start. Watch your demeanor and don't cause any more trouble to disgrace the family," Owen said, turning to leave. Roland stood there, stiff. The wedding

Furious, Owen stormed off, oblivious to the trembling figure hidden just around the corner. It was Daphne. She had heard everything and was holding Roland's phone, which still displayed the surveillance video.

She had come to confront her son about Sasha and Ethan, only to hear that Ethan was her husband's illegitimate son. The shocking revelation almost made her faint.

As she remembered her son's suffering, her anger surged. As a mother, she had to be strong. She managed not to collapse.

She didn't believe Sasha was a victim. She had never liked Sasha's whiny, small-minded demeanor. Even if Sasha were a victim, she would never allow a woman who had been with an illegitimate son to marry her son, especially when the child's paternity was uncertain.

She knew her son was too responsible and would endure suffering. However, she wouldn't allow it.

Clutching the phone, Daphne left. She was going to find Sasha.

Meanwhile, Stephanie was still searching for Ethan but couldn't find him in the unfamiliar estate. She had to continue searching.

Daphne also didn't manage to find Sasha; the makeup artists told her the bride had gone out for some fresh air and would return soon. Impatient, Daphne headed to the security control room.

At that time, Isabella was half-heartedly engaging in small talk while keeping an ear out for any new developments.

"Unbelievable. Sasha sneaked off to see Ethan, telling him that Roland knew everything. She wants Ethan to take her away because she doesn't want to abort Ethan's child. But after hearing that, Ethan tells her to agree to the wedding and stay with Roland. He says she can abort the child. Not only that, because he's angry about being beaten, Ethan plans to cuckold Roland right here and now Wait What the f*ck? They're."

Hearing this, the Quirks were shocked. Is she talking about that? Are they doing something this shameless right now?

Wow! This is our chance. Take Roland to catch them in the act! Everything will be revealed!

Before Isabella could react, Alexander stood up. "I just remembered something I need to clarify with Roland. Let's go find him."
