Chapter 251: Supporting His Wife

Clifford was speechless after Elaine's confrontation, enjoying the torment. He ignored Millie. Elaine was clearly his Achilles' heel; men often find unconquerable women irresistible, not necessarily out of love, but because the unattainable is alluring. Millie, however, had brought this on herself.

Isabella intervened, saying, "We haven't settled the previous matter. Ms. Hayes, you unjustly targeted someone. An apology is due. We are all equals. Apologize for both incidents."

Millie was surprised by this unexpected intervention. Feeling bullied, she glared at Zendaya. Though she couldn't afford to offend Elaine and Isabella, she found their anger over a minor incident unbelievable.

"A little push? A spilled glass of wine? I'll pay for it," Millie retorted, refusing to apologize to someone she considered inferior.

"Name your price," she added sarcastically.

Zendaya, feeling protected by Isabella and Elaine, refused Millie's offer of money.

"I don't want money!" Zendaya declared.

"Don't push your luck!" Millie raged.

"She doesn't want money! Apologize!" Elaine demanded.

Silence fell. Millie, blushing furiously, finally exploded. "Do you think she's worthy?" she scoffed, leaving.

Isabella's internal resolve was clear to Alexander. She wouldn't let Millie go.

"Millie!" Isabella called.

Millie turned, only to have Isabella throw the contents of her wine glass at her. Millie screamed.

Everyone was shocked by Isabella's strength, remembering rumors of her exceptional abilities. They glanced at Alexander, expecting a reaction, but he remained impassive. Elaine gave Isabella a thumbs-up.

The wine splashed Clifford, who was standing near Millie. Millie screamed, then glared at Isabella.

"It was just a spilled cup of wine!" Isabella mimicked Millie.

"You did this for her?" Millie exclaimed incredulously.

Isabella chuckled. "I said no one messes with my fans. You didn't heed my warning."

"Consider this… on him," Isabella said, gesturing to Alexander.

Her actions worried onlookers; offending someone in the industry for a minor fan was reckless. However, Alexander nodded seriously. "Yeah, put it on my tab."

The onlookers were stunned.

Isabella smirked. "You heard him."

Millie lost it. "Are you out of your mind? Why do you always interfere?"

Alexander's face darkened. "Who are you talking about?"

A chill ran down Millie's spine, but she pressed on. "Mr. Alexander, is your wife justified in bullying me?"

Alexander replied, "My wife wasn't bullying you; she was settling accounts. It's only…"

Millie was speechless. The onlookers were stunned into silence. Alexander was unlike what they expected. What kind of man unconditionally supports his wife like this?

Alexander held all the cards. He wasn't afraid of Millie or Clifford. They had to tolerate his wife's actions. They had always considered him exceptional, but his perceived coldness had previously deterred many women. Now, many envied his relationship with Isabella.

His friends were used to his eccentricities, though still slightly uncomfortable. They noticed a pattern: whenever he acted differently, it involved Isabella. Due to Alexander's words, a distraught Millie wept.

Clifford, realizing the situation, couldn't leave Millie alone. He felt suffocated. He impatiently told Millie to leave, showing his lack of patience. Millie was shocked at his coldness and his denial of any acceptance of their relationship.

Clifford left Millie, leaving her stunned.

Once Millie was gone, Zendaya thanked Elaine and Isabella. Elaine claimed it was fate, and offered Zendaya sisterly protection. Isabella noticed a peculiar rash on Zendaya’s neck.
