Chapter 35: Shocking News

Those in the hallway, whether their doors were open or they were secretly eavesdropping, were stunned. Everyone dismissed Bianca's abrupt comment, assuming she had made a pass at Christopher, and he'd denied it to avoid misleading Luna. However, the revelation that Christopher, a handsome man with the makings of a playboy, was still a virgin was hard to believe. Even Luna assumed he and Bianca had been intimate long ago, given their time alone together. Her parents had even subtly suggested she accept her fate. Therefore, Christopher's words seemed unbelievable.

Realizing his inadvertent revelation, Christopher flushed crimson with embarrassment. He longed to disappear, but Luna's disbelief flustered him further. "It's not just about my innocence," he thought, "this could become a serious health issue!" He disregarded his loss of face and rushed toward Luna, but stumbled, falling to his knees before her door.

Luna instinctively bent to help, but before she could rise, Christopher grabbed her hands, his gaze sincere. "We were engaged then! How could I touch her? I assure you, I'm a virgin! I'm not infected! Believe me!"

Everyone was speechless. His sincerity, even kneeling, seemed to confirm his claim. Yet, their image of the mega-star Christopher was shattered. Isabella, inwardly amused, thought, Damn! Can't believe it! This guy is disciplined! You can't judge a book by its cover! Even his fans won't believe he's a virgin! No one will notice if I snap a photo… this is too hilarious!

Disturbed by her thoughts, Christopher, flustered and annoyed, couldn't afford distractions. His gaze intensified, pleading for Luna's trust. Luna, dazed, stood there until a wave of heat flushed her face. She tried to pull away her hand. The scene—a man vehemently proclaiming his virginity—was overwhelming. Having ended their doomed relationship, she finally pulled away, shutting the door.

"T-That has nothing to do with me!" she stammered, fleeing.

Christopher knocked. "But I'm telling the truth! You have to believe me!"

Bianca roared, eyes bloodshot. "Do you only have eyes for that bitch? Was all that love a lie? You're heartless!"

Christopher turned, his earlier affection replaced by cold skepticism. "Why did you come tonight?"

Bianca stiffened, guilt flashing across her face. Isabella, observing, learned the explosive truth: Bianca had avoided Thomas after learning he had an STD. A check-up revealed she was also infected. Blaming Christopher for her infidelity, she planned to drag him down with her.

Christopher's face hardened. Without giving Bianca a chance, he called Hayden for help.

Bianca panicked. "So, you'll ignore our history, even if I'm willing to be Luna's stand-in?"

"You're not worthy," Christopher said coldly.

"Luna doesn't want you," Bianca argued. "My presence offers consolation!"

"You and Luna are different people, except when I mistook her for you while dying. Don't degrade Luna," Christopher retorted.

Bianca's malice intensified. He continued, "Don't impersonate Luna again. I promise you'll regret it!"

Bianca trembled, not from fear, but hatred. Luna is my arch-nemesis! she thought.

Hayden arrived with his assistant. Irritated by Bianca's actions, Hayden threatened to call hotel security. Bianca, surprisingly compliant, left, but her resentful glance spoke volumes.

Christopher confided in Hayden about the STD. Hayden was shocked. "You!" he exclaimed.

Christopher retorted, "I never touched her!" Isabella surmised Hayden wanted confirmation Christopher hadn't fallen for a trap. Hayden, relieved, went downstairs.

Christopher approached Isabella. "Did you take pictures?"

Isabella denied it. "No way."

Christopher said, "I'll pay you to delete them."

Isabella's regret surprised him. "What's wrong?"

"I already posted it in the group chat," she confessed.

A group chat? The Quirk family's? Relief turned to dread. It was a temporary group chat with David, Selena, and Evian, whom Isabella had updated to avoid individual replies. They reacted intensely, pleased with the juicy gossip.

Isabella showed him her phone. "It's too late. Everyone has seen it. I didn't expect them to stay up late…"

The video, captioned "Shocking! An A-lister knelt before his fiancée, loudly proclaiming his virginity," was already viral, along with David, Selena, and Evian's shocked responses. Christopher's contorted face reflected in his black phone screen.
