Chapter 395: Janice in Trouble

Seeing Alexander's reply, Isabella laughed. Believing her, Alexander had planned to confront Dylan, but Dylan's absence led him to a different approach. Alexander had been inspecting Quirk family properties in Yrinas with Felix's family, and Dylan, seemingly fearful of losing his future position, accompanied them. Normally, Alexander resided inland, and Felix's family in Gishwick; they weren't involved in local business. However, Alexander's review could affect Dylan's inheritance, so Dylan's absence was peculiar.

Isabella wondered if Dylan was bullying someone at school. She checked and discovered he was giving a lecture at the university, substituting for Uncle San. A mischievous grin spread across her face. She messaged Alexander, then suggested to the group, "The weather's perfect! Let's surprise Janice at school. She's not feeling well, and we can look after her!"

The group—Christopher, Rosalie, and Carlos—were puzzled. Didn't the school know about Janice's situation? They needed to support her. Christopher and Rosalie, sensing Isabella's plan, grinned. Carlos felt something was amiss but led them on.

"I did all this to protect you," a young man said. "Otherwise, my parents would have separated us, and those people would have targeted you. I did everything for you."

"But I still feel so wronged," a woman replied.

"Darling, I only have eyes for you. Once the plan succeeds, my family will have no objection."

Isabella and her companions exchanged glances. They initially mistook the couple for young lovers oblivious to their surroundings. From a distance, they saw the couple embracing and kissing. They were attractive and well-dressed. Feeling awkward, the group left the grove. They sighed, lamenting about youth, just as the school bell rang.

Isabella decided against using the Gossip System to find Janice's classroom and contacted her directly. Janice was excited but insisted a visit wasn't necessary. They agreed to meet halfway. However, after waiting, no one arrived.

Uneasy, Isabella checked and her face paled. She left, inventing an excuse: "It's been a while. Are her legs still hurting? Maybe I should pick her up."

Christopher and Rosalie followed, hearing Isabella's string of expletives. Carlos was increasingly confused by their sudden urgency.

They reached a plaza with a fountain, attracting a crowd.

"What are they doing?" Carlos asked.

No one answered. Isabella dashed toward the fountain.
