He thought, "Is it really worth recruiting this girl just because she saved Mr. Longley? Emergency measures such as turning the head of a patient with cerebral infarction to the side and elevating the patient’s upper body are well known to anyone with basic medical knowledge. However, under those circumstances, no one dared to take action. I think this girl was just lucky that she was the only one who did it. Therefore, Mr. Longley really dodged a bullet. I certainly do not believe that Mr. Longley’s survival is due to Professor Wilcourt’s acupuncture. Such a mere show does nothing but cause the patient pain."

Kenneth clicked his tongue lightly and raised his hand to push open the main gate of Xander’s villa.

“Professor…” Kenneth had just begun to speak when he noticed there were guests in the living room. They were David and Audrey, both of whom he recognized. One was a renowned professor at a higher education institution, and the other was the deputy director of the Central Research Institute. He thought, "What is the purpose of these two individuals coming to Mr. Nelson at this critical juncture?"

Xander beckoned to him and said, “You came back at just the right time. These two don’t believe that Mr. Longley has already regained consciousness. Please explain to them!”

Kenneth approached quickly and said, “Miss Kinberg, Professor Lawson, what do you mean by not believing? Are you hoping something bad happens to Mr. Longley?”

“No…” David and Audrey both turned pale with fright. Although the Kinberg family held a certain status in Aloville, they were nothing at all compared to the Longley family. They could not make this kind of statement.

Audrey looked nervously at Kenneth. “Mr. Garfield, that’s not our intention. We just find it suspicious. After all, there hasn’t been any news from the hospital. That girl who saved Mr. Longley was previously a student of David. She has never stood out, and not long ago, she even left the team. Later, she joined Professor Wilcourt’s team. Although Mr. Longley woke up, we really couldn’t say it was Professor Wilcourt’s acupuncture that did the trick. Even if I could believe that, the general public would probably still have doubts, right?”

“Then it appears you have misjudged.” Kenneth’s gaze grew cold. He continued, “I have just met with that girl. Contrary to your characterization, she is far from unimpressive. The fact that she was admitted to Professor Lawson’s team is, in itself, a testament to her capabilities. Now that she has again been accepted by Professor Wilcourt, it is evident that her abilities are not lacking. If she were truly unqualified, we would not see her here at the seminar today.”

Xander nodded and said, “Indeed, that girl dared to step forward and save Mr. Longley in front of everyone. This act shows not only her courage but also the compassion of a true medical professional. Based on this alone, she is a qualified doctor. Professor Lawson, I do not know the reason why she left your team, but based on today’s events, you have indeed lost a good student.”

After Xander finished speaking, his expression turned cold, and he stood up. “Kenneth, see the guests out!”

Until Xander’s figure disappeared around the stairwell corner, David and Audrey remained in the same posture as before. They were so shocked that they failed to respond until Kenneth stood up and reminded them, “Please, go ahead, you two.”

“Mr. Nelson…” David snapped back to his senses and looked up, but in the vast living room, there was no trace of Xander.

David’s face was as pale as paper. He had come to Xander specifically to request an opportunity, hoping to pursue his research without restraint. Yet, before he could utter a word, Xander dealt him a harsh slap. Josie was the underachiever whom he despised. She voluntarily withdrew from the team, then she unexpectedly became the good student in their eyes. David couldn’t believe how things were turning out. His hand trembled slightly.

“Professor Lawson!” Audrey was also startled. She reached out and pulled him. “Let’s go!”

Unlike David, she did not care as much about Xander. After all, the National Hospital did not have authority over her research institution. However, she had not expected that Xander and the others would hold Josie in such high esteem.

“Mr. Garfield, so, does that mean you all believe it was Josie who saved Mr. Longley?” After leaving, Audrey still couldn’t help but look at Kenneth.
