Josie shook her head and said, "No, I don't.

“I never waste time on insignificant people. She’s not even worth me wasting any emotion, not even hatred.

“At most, I will ignore her. She is just like a complete stranger to me. If she bothers me, I’ll retaliate on the spot.

“Whether in the past or in the future, I will settle the score for everything she did to me, but it will never be because of you, nor will I be your enforcer!”

Josie tilted her head slightly, her gaze falling on Vincent’s face.

She said, “Compared to Jaden, you actually didn’t want to come to me. The reason you’re here is simply because you have no other choice.

“You failed to go to graduate school, David kicked you out of the team, and you’re unwilling to return to your hometown.

“So, you must find a place to stay that will allow you to get through the year and retake the exam.

“You came to me simply to treat me like a fool, to have me provide you with an easy way to join the team, and to get a salary to temporarily support yourself.

“Once you find an opportunity, you’ll leave immediately, won’t you?”

Josie didn’t expect him to answer.

She continued, “Ultimately, you still think I’m easy to bully, easy to manipulate, soft–hearted, and foolish, allowing you to come and go freely and do as you please.

“But what makes you think I’m still the person I used to be, that I’m still so easy to manipulate and bully?

“Is it just because I don’t have a strong family background like Natalie?”

Vincent and Jaden looked at each other sheepishly.

“No!” Jaden said angrily, “We didn’t think that way. We truly want to help you!”

“How dare someone useless like you offer to help me?” Josie said rudely, “If your father hadn’t donated money to the school, would you have even been admitted?

“Even with all sorts of bonus points, you barely made the admission cutoff. With grades like that, don’t you know where you stand?

“And you, Vincent. Seemingly from a humble background and working hard, you also want a shortcut, don’t you? Seeing how much I have accomplished now, are you going crazy with jealousy?”

Josie laughed out loud. “You should give up. There’s no way I’ll let you join my team. However, considering what you did to me in the past, I don’t mind showing you a way out!”

Josie leaned closer and lowered her voice. “Since Natalie is the one who caused you to fall to this point, why don’t you go find her?

“Don’t be afraid. She would never dare let her mother know about the things she did.

“You just need to threaten her with this, and she’ll definitely help you get into the research institute.”

Ivy didn’t understand. “Josie, they shamelessly plotted against you. Why are you still helping them?

“If they really enter the research institute, wouldn’t they become your competitors?

“I heard that David’s research cooperation project is competing with Professor Wilcourt’s project.”

It had been a while since the incident, but Josie still felt as disgusted as if she’d swallowed a fly.

What she wanted was not to scold them or punch them a couple of times, much less for them to regret and apologize to her, or even beg her.

What she wanted was to send them to prison. She felt that this was the ultimate destination for scums like them.

However, they were still students at the moment. Whatever they did was only considered moral flaws, not enough to make them commit crimes.

Unless they, like Kyle, failed to maintain their moral bottom line, succumbed to Natalie’s instigation, and ultimately walked down the path of crime.
