Chapter 407

David had never been scolded like this, let alone by a young girl. His face immediately turned purple with anger.

Before he could retort, Josie continued to grumble, "I’m not opposing you because I’m unwilling to accept something. I’m opposing you because you are shameless. You are completely unfit for the medical industry. Do I seem scheming? I regret being your student. Since you dislike me so much, don’t ever say you taught me, because I will never admit it…"

“Where are your manners? Who gave you the right to say such things? This is utterly outrageous!” David was so angry his lips trembled.

Sean put an arm around Josie’s waist. “Is the Reedshaw family enough reason for her to say this?”

“If it’s not enough, there’s always the Clem family,” Colby said languidly. When the others looked over, he shrugged. He said, “Aiden is his student, right? He’s been attacking me like a mad dog recently. I think it’s not too much to make things difficult for his teacher, right?”

Everyone was stunned as they thought, ‘Not at all!’

Josie giggled. "I told you not to scold me. I said someone would help me, and you didn’t believe me. Now, you have to believe it. Let me tell you, Ian isn’t an outsider, and Natalie isn’t just my friend. I’ll continue to help Ian and his group, and they won’t ever work for you!"

Ian said, "That’s right. I have an advisor. I had one in school, and I still do. My current advisor is Professor Wilcourt. If I have any problems, I’ll go to him. Professor Lawson, don’t come looking for me again, and stop saying misleading things. I’m not someone who cares about empty fame. I prefer to diligently conduct my experiments!"

These words were like a resounding slap, landing hard on David’s face. He was so utterly humiliated that his breathing hitched, as if he were suffocating.

“Move aside!” Josie reached out to push Colby and Joseph. She said, "Let him leave already! Otherwise, if he dies of anger, we’ll be held responsible. That’s so not worth it."

When it came to sharp-tongued remarks, the seemingly well-behaved Josie was equally capable. The ones who weren’t drunk exchanged glances.

One of them said, "So Josie is so savage when she is drunk?"

Another said, "I don’t think it’s necessarily savage. It might be because David oppressed her too much before, and she’s been holding a grudge!"

Someone else asked, "Is she venting it out now, fueled by the alcohol?"

A person said, "Josie hasn’t had it easy all these years!"

Another said, "With the Reedshaw family protecting her from now on, she shouldn’t have such a difficult time!"

A third said, "She relied on her own capabilities this time. This matter with Ian had nothing to do with the Reedshaw family."

Someone else said, "That’s right. She is impressive enough!"

Josie was carried back by Sean. As she snored softly in Sean’s arms, Natalie was eagerly waiting for David in the private room.
