Chapter 192
The loud noise caused everyone else to stop what they were doing in surprise. Tangible murderous intent exploded from Austin's eyes as the air around him seemed to solidify due to his rage. It caused the people around him to tremble uncontrollably.
Austin's expression turned stormy, making the temperature around them drop by a few degrees. He barked, “Throw them out now! They’re no longer allowed to enter this restaurant from today onward!”
How dare they mock his wife in front of him? Who gave them the audacity to do so?
The waiter was so frightened that his heart leaped out of his chest. He approached Seline and Christine and snapped coldly, “Ladies, if you refuse to leave, I’ll get security involved.”
Seline's face showed her understanding. That man had the power to prohibit their entry. She was sure she didn't have such power!
Who exactly was this man?
Christine looked at Austin incredulously and shrieked, “How could you throw us out? Suzanne is just an unwanted daughter! Throw her out instead!”
The waiter’s expression darkened immediately. He gestured for a few others to surround Seline and Christine so that they could chase them out.
Christine refused to leave. “You’d better be careful! Don’t fall for her lies! She may look innocent, but she had a few boyfriends at the same time back in school!”
Austin’s gaze landed sharply on Christine. She immediately felt as if someone were strangling her.
“Who is she?” He wasn’t looking at Suzanne, but the question was directed at her.
Suzanne glared at Christine nonchalantly and scoffed coldly in her heart as she watched Christine’s reluctance to leave. Austin was clearly asking for her identity so that he could completely boycott her within Dudore, yet she had no idea.
Suzanne smiled and replied, “A random stranger. Just ignore her.”
She should leave a fool like Christine to Seline. After all, having her stay around Seline would only cause Seline more trouble.
“You!” Christine had no idea Suzanne had just saved her life. Instead, she raised her hand in rage, wanting to point at her. However, Austin’s knife-like gaze shot her down so quickly that she didn’t even dare to let out a whimper.
That man looked so terrifying. She was even suspecting that he would actually kill her.
Selme saw how the situation had spiraled out of control and stopped speaking. Realization suddenly struck her—it didn’t just take money to be able to book a place as high-class as this.
The more she was denied Austin’s information, the more painfully curious she got.
The entire restaurant was silent.
The waiters didn’t wait any longer. They grabbed Seline’s and Christine’s arms and dragged them out of the door. Seline didn’t even have time to tell them that she would leave on her own. They were both in utter disarray.
Seline was so mad she nearly exploded. Suzanne, on the other hand, was in a very good mood. As she looked at Austin, who still looked stormy, she comforted him gently, saying, “Don’t be angry with such people. It’s not worth it.”
She would also get angry at them before this, but she realized that the angrier she got, the happier Seline was. After that, she refused to let Seline have her way ever again.
She now maintained a stoic expression no matter what happened, and it drove Seline mad.
Suzanne picked up her wine glass and paused for a while before looking at Austin, asking, “Do you believe what she said earlier?”
Chris had dated low-paying men before. She really didn’t know how Christine could so easily have gone along with such nonsense. Austin’s gaze fell on Suzanne, and the coldness he exuded was dispersed as he asked in return, “What do you think?”
There was no need for extra words. Suzanne understood him immediately. He didn’t believe those words.
Suzanne smiled. She raised her wine glass and said, “The food at this restaurant tastes pretty good.”
Austin looked at Suzanne and didn’t respond to her but poured her more wine instead.
As for the two who were thrown out… their faces were so contorted that they looked utterly hideous.
It was so humiliating to be thrown out. Christine jabbed her finger at a waiter and roared imperiously, “Where’s your manager? They manager to come out! How dare you throw out guests like this?” She wanted to create more havoc, but the burly security guards hired by the restaurant had already made their way to them.
