Chapter 1108

Rafael, Kyle, and Travis led the soldiers of the Hell Monarch Estate in a gallop down the main road, quickly reaching the small grove. Torches illuminated the area, casting flickering shadows across the trees. Yuvan, tall and imposing on his steed, even without armor, commanded an air of authority. His sharp gaze swept over the scene, but before he could speak, Violet charged toward them, her furious shouts piercing the night.

โ€œBeast! Iโ€™ll kill you!โ€

Unarmed, but fueled by rage, she resembled a wild animal. She slammed into Yuvan, sending him stumbling backward. Carissa reacted swiftly, moving aside but refraining from intervention, allowing Violet to unleash her fury.

Yuvan flew several feet, hitting the ground hard. He coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth. Violet pounced, her hands landing mercilessly on his face. Despite her recent recovery from poison, her fury propelled her beyond her limits. Swift strikes rendered him unconscious within moments.

โ€œWhat are you all waiting for? Help him!โ€ Fiona cried out in alarm.

The suicide soldiers and guards moved to assist, but Rafael swiftly blocked their path. Travis raised his iron staff, a clear warning. โ€œI dare any of you to try!โ€

The Hell Monarch Estate soldiers stepped forward, forming a protective line, swords drawn. Seeing the escalating tension, Wayne called out, โ€œItโ€™s a misunderstanding! Release them!โ€

He ordered his men to free Claire and Iris, who both bore minor neck wounds. Carissa stepped forward and addressed Rafael. โ€œYour Highness, the Capital Guard discovered Prince Yuvanโ€™s camp here last night, near the garrison outpost. We donโ€™t know their intentions.โ€

Rafaelโ€™s expression was distant, yet he understood her attempt to shift the focus to the nearby garrison.

โ€œMr. Mullen, notify General Farrell at the garrison outpost,โ€ Rafael ordered. โ€œTell him to remain vigilant and prepare for suspicious activity.โ€ Involving General Farrell was crucial to making their redirection of blame convincing.

Travis nodded, glancing at Violet. Seeing Carissa approach Violet, he felt reassured and rode off. Carissa embraced Violet, who, still consumed by rage, continued kicking Yuvan.

Violetโ€™s face was contorted with fury, her body trembling. She had never experienced such humiliation. She wanted to cry, but resisted, fearing it would appear weak.

Carissa held her tightly. โ€œLuckily, you and Prince Rafael arrived. Otherwise, Claire, the others, and I would have been helpless.โ€

Violet recalled Carissa's earlier intervention. Carissaโ€™s words were clearly intended to protect Violetโ€™s reputation. Her anger subsided, and she blinked away tears.

โ€œLillian told me what happened. Iโ€™m relieved youโ€™re unharmed.โ€

โ€œIt was close. He tried to stab me, but I disarmed him.โ€

As Carissa spoke, her gaze instinctively shifted to Rafael. Something felt amissโ€”he seemed upset. His gaze grew colder upon hearing her words, before quickly averting his eyes.

Fiona had already summoned a physician for Yuvan. The dagger wound was superficial, but his face was swollen, and Violetโ€™s kicks had fractured two ribs. Though conscious, every breath brought excruciating pain, prompting tears.

โ€œWeโ€™ve been wronged!โ€ Fiona cried uncontrollably, burying her face in her hands. โ€œWe were resting! We never expected this!โ€

โ€œLady Carissa, youโ€™ve been powerless, and you want to blame us to improve your standing. Even if desperate to prove yourself, you canโ€™t injure your elder and humiliate a prince!โ€

Violetโ€™s fury reignited. She shoved Carissa aside, grabbed Fionaโ€™s hair, and slapped her.

โ€œHow dare you claim to be wronged? Do you think she cares about trivial achievements? You know what you did! Even if I donโ€™t make a fuss in the capital, this will explode when I reach my family and the Inferno Guild!โ€
