To the Obsession of My Cold-Hearted Ex
Chapter 105: Locked In
โNo, itโs about making me wear the cuckoldโs horns, huh? As if I donโt know how to do that.โ
Even though finding another man to marry wasnโt exactly making Easton a cuckold, he seemed so fixated on it, warning her repeatedly tonight. Why should she obey his every command?
Eastonโs hand was still on her face, feeling like dirt tarnishing her. Ellis couldnโt hold back her anger and blurted out, โKeep your hands to yourself, or Iโll sue you for harassment!โ
โCuckold?โ Easton repeated the phrase she hurled at him, his eyes gradually chilling. โEllis, thereโs a limit to rebellion.โ
It was obvious she said those things just to provoke him. But hearing them was painfully grating!
Just the thought of her being cozy with another man filled his chest with pressure, suffocating him with an indescribable sense of heaviness and a fleeting urge to kill.
โYouโre not in charge of whether I rebel or not; I donโt want to waste words with you!โ Tired of looking at Easton and hearing his infuriating words, Ellis simply closed her eyes and covered her ears.
Playing blind and deaf, Easton wouldnโt let her enjoy such comfort, forcefully taking her hands off her ears and demanding she open her eyes.
Like a standoff, she refused to open her eyes, curious what Easton could possibly do about it.
โIโll count to three, and if you donโt open your eyes, donโt blame me for being rude!โ
His threatening tone echoed in her ears, but Ellis was unafraid.
โOne.โ Easton counted slowly.
The more he saw her refusing to look at him, the more agitated he became. Perhaps he was too accustomed to her eyes filled with only him, and he couldnโt handle her indifference.
โTwo.โ
Just as he finished, he noticed her eyes rolling under her eyelids, clearly unwilling to open them. He suddenly felt the air in the room stop moving, and subconsciously adjusted his tic.
โLast chance, three!โ
His deliberately slow cadence was obvious to Ellis.
She didnโt care why Easton wanted her to open her eyes; she found his face nauseating.
Suddenly, she hypnotized herself to believe Easton didnโt exist. Seeing her eyes settle and her body still, as if peacefully asleep, her clenched fists betrayed her alertness, and restlessness stirred within Easton.
โFine, play dead, right? Youโll just stay in the manor then; donโt even think about going out!โ
With that, he turned and headed for the door.
His footsteps faded, and Ellis cracked open her eyes just a slit. She had planned to stay at the manor for a while anyway. The manor had everything I needed, so why leave?
Chapter 105: Locked In
She didnโt care; in fact, she was almost pleased. However, she didnโt expect Easton to stop at the door, turn back, and frown at her, his lips slightly pursed. โWhen I said donโt think about going out, I meant from the eighth floor.โ
Ellisโs eyes flew open. โYou scumbag, youโre putting me under house arrest?โ
โWhatโs this playing? You brought it on yourself!โ Easton scoffed.
Ellis used to pretend, claiming she loved him for a lifetime: he took those words as a joke, not believing she loved him, but rather the wealth and prestige he represented. That didnโt mean he was indulging her now.
If she could even speak of making me a cuckold, why should I let her out?
She needed to stay here, confined like in solitary reflection!
Without another word, Ellis lunged forward, attempting to grab the tie that could restrain Easton.
Unexpectedly, Easton dodged, locking the door as he coldly said, โStay put; Iโll let you out when I feel like it.โ
Previously, Carly had briefly locked her up here, but this time Ellis was determined not to let Easton succeed. She braced herself against the door handle, preventing Easton from locking it from the outside.
Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain, as Easton managed to lock the door.
Faintly hearing Easton instructing someone outside to send her food and personal items on schedule, she wasnโt about to sit idly by. Frantically, she searched the room for a landline to call Carly.
Wondering what Easton intended by bringing Ellis upstairs, Carly quickly headed to the eighth floor as soon as she received Ellisโs call.
Arriving at the eighth floor and seeing Easton with a grim expression standing in front of the door, Carly put on an elderโs authority, โEaston, no matter what, Ellis is still the daughter I raised; sheโฆโ
โDo you think just because youโre staying at Grandpaโs place, I canโt do anything to you?โ Easton interrupted icily, Carlyโs expression stiffening.
Inside, hearing Carly and Eastonโs conversation, Ellis worried Carly might be intimidated by Easton and wouldnโt dare to let her out, so she knocked on the door, calling out, โMs. Carly, open the door!โ
The next moment, the door opened.
Before she could feel relieved, she caught sight of Eastonโs face, her lips curling in disdain.
