Chapter 29: Caught Between His Grasp
Easton smirked. โSo youโre bold enough to do it, but not admit it?โ
Ellis refused to take the blame. โHow is this my fault? Keep me out of this!โ
โThen explain this: after I was drugged, the staff noticed I wasnโt feeling well and advised me to rest. When I returned to my room, you just so happened to be here, freshly cleaned. Who else would have stooped so low but you, huh? Youโve done it once before, and you still wonโt admit it after the second time?โ
Eastonโs mood was noticeably different this time. When Easton was drugged five years ago, Ellis had schemed her way into his bed, and he had been furious about it. Now, it seemed like Ellis was trying to sweep their divorce under the rug by drugging him again, and so his demand for her was clear this time: he wanted her to satisfy him completely. If she kept this up, he would make sure she faced the consequences of her actions.
โIt wasnโt me, I didnโt do it!โ Ellis insisted. โIโve never drugged you! Iโโ
โEnough!โ interrupted Easton. โDonโt make excuses for your actions; I donโt want to hear it.โ
His words felt final, putting her in an unforgivable position. Ellis felt drained, and her heart sank. Easton refused to believe her, no matter how much she explained.
Five years ago, Easton was drugged and needed someone to help him recover, so she took advantage of the situation and gave him her first time. That was the moment their relationship changed, and they were no longer just cousins by name. But despite everything, Easton never acknowledged Ellisโs kindness in helping him. Instead, he was convinced that it was she who drugged him, leaving her defenseless against his accusations. Every time the subject came up, she was met with his disdain. She was like a malicious woman in his eyes, taking advantage of his vulnerability.
The weight of his contempt left Ellis exhausted. She was tired of explaining. He wouldnโt listen to her anyway, so why waste her breath?
Ellisโs silence appeared to Easton as guilt, a sign that she couldnโt come up with a lie. He placed his large hands on the back of her head, repositioning her.
In a few short minutes of their exchange, Eastonโs patience was wearing thin. He was like a man dying of thirst in the desert, desperate for rain to quench his parched soul.
Feeling the rage and despair building inside her, Ellis had almost forgotten about the heat and discomfort she felt. But as soon as Easton moved, her anger reignited. Using all her strength, she pushed herself off the sofa.
Standing over Easton gave her a sense of control. โIโm telling you, Iโm about to become your ex-wife; Iโm not obligated to satisfy your needs! You can go wherever you want, just donโt bother me here!โ she said with frustration.
In the past, Ellis tried everything to win his affection, constantly seeking ways to earn his love. As long as he paid attention to her, she would have done anything for him. But today, she was once again forced to face the brutal truth: Easton doesnโt love her. He wouldnโt even defend her in the slightest, let alone treat her like someone he cared about. She had made it clear that she wasnโt willing to satisfy him, yet he continued to demand it. It made her feel like she was nothing more than a cheap commodity.
โI told you, youโre making me run out of patience!โ Easton stood up, fire blazing in his eyes, but the simmering desire within him remained.
โI donโt care if youโre out of patience!โ Ellis scoffed, turning to leave coldly.
But before she could even take a few steps, she felt a tight grip around her wrists. Easton stood before her like an immovable mountain. In a swift motion, he lifted her effortlessly and carried her toward the bed, one step after another.
โSince youโre playing hard to get, let me show you who really makes the rules here,โ he said with his commanding voice.
Before she had time to react, Ellis felt her back hit the mattress. In an instant, Easton clasped her hands together with his own. With an unwavering expression, Easton untied his tie and began wrapping it around her wrists in loops.
โWhy are you tying my hands up? Are you insane? Let me go!โ she struggled against her restraints. Perhaps it was the drugs affecting her, but Ellis felt her strength fading, and her attempts to break free became weaker by the second.
โSave your energy,โ Easton said with a smirk. โYouโll want to use it for later.โ
He had run out of patience. His body couldnโt afford to wait any longer. He desperately needed her cooperation, and binding her hands was a simple and effective solution. She brought this upon herself. Five years ago, she had already paid for her actions once; if she wanted to endure it again, he wouldnโt mind giving her what she wanted.
With her hands tied tightly and her legs firmly under his control, she was trapped. Ellis glared at him fiercely and yelled, โYou scumbag! Youโd betterโโ
