Tiffany immediately got out of the car, but Kenneth's attempt to follow was stopped. "Thank you," she said, her two words implying, "Thank you for driving me here. Since I'm already here, there's no need to trouble you further."

Kenneth was taken aback by her rejection. She clearly didn't want to owe him anything, preferring to avoid further interaction. He smiled bitterly and obediently remained in the car. The windows were covered with privacy film, allowing clear outward vision but obscuring the interior from outside view. Leaning against the cushion, he watched Tiffany walk toward the thatched hut, knowing Eric was inside. The increasingly strong, familiar scent confirmed her suspicion.

Her heart racing, Tiffany called out, "Eric!" As she neared the hut, a childish, anxious voice cried out, "Tiffany, don't come over! Don't Mmm," followed by a muffled groan that quickly faded. Tiffany's anxiety intensified. Suddenly, a guillotine descended, aimed directly at her head. She leaped back, narrowly avoiding serious injury, only Eric's hoarse roar alerting her to the danger. It was a treacherous attack, but the danger couldn't deter her.

Before she could enter, a sinister voice commanded, "Stay outside. Otherwise, I can't guarantee your brother's safety." The voice belonged to Selena Olson. Tiffany's face darkened. Knowing Selena's erratic and unstable state, she knew the threat was real.

"Let go of my brother," Tiffany demanded.

Tiffany stood firm, taking a deep breath before negotiating, "You want money, don't you? I can give you whatever you want."

Selena's maniacal laughter echoed from within. "I know you're rich, but even if I got it, I wouldn't live to spend it So, what do I need money for? I might as well take you down with me!" Her voice was increasingly ruthless, laced with madness. Eric would be injured if he remained with her.

Tiffany clenched her fists. "How about a trade? Release my brother, and I'll tie myself up. I should be your target, not him."

Silence filled the hut. Only slivers of light pierced the darkness. Selena's eyes glowed red. Tiffany was right; Selena wanted her dead, not Eric. Killing Eric would sadden the Kelley family, but killing Tiffany would satisfy Selena's hatred.

Selena roared, "Why did you come so soon? It's all your fault! Because of you, I have no escape! Because of you, I couldn't even hide!" Selena had disguised herself as an old woman, successfully kidnapping Eric. She'd hired someone to build the hut, intending to imprison Eric and burn him alive before escaping. Even if the Kelly family arrived, they'd only find a charred body. She envisioned their grief, relishing the thought. But Tiffany had caught up, too quickly for Selena to escape unscathed.

Selena was tempted by Tiffany's offer but knew she could control Eric, but not Tiffany. If Tiffany resisted, everything would collapse. Selena sneered, "I told you not to act rashly. One step closer, and he dies!"

Tiffany's eyes flashed with determination. "Alright, I won't move forward." She had already contacted Jeremy; he would arrive within ten minutes and attack Selena from behind.

Calming herself, Tiffany said, "I didn't call the police. You still have a chance to leave. I'll give you this car and a bank card—enough money to last a lifetime." She checked her phone. Eight minutes left. To prove her sincerity, she picked up a brick and smashed it against her leg, falling to the ground with a groan as blood flowed.

Kenneth, in the car, wanted to intervene but hesitated. He couldn't risk alerting Selena. He watched, his heart clenching as he saw Tiffany’s pain.

Selena, surprised by Tiffany’s self-harm, saw an opportunity. With Tiffany injured, she would be less of a threat.

Selena pondered before asking, "How much money? How do I access it?"

"Ten million dollars. I'll clear your wanted status. You won't have to hide. You can transfer the money after you leave." Tiffany’s face was pale, but she offered a weak smile. "Selena, you know I wouldn't lie about my family. Trust me. Here's your card. Go." She tossed the card to the hut's entrance.

Selena, tempted by the offer and the chance to escape, hesitated for only a moment before agreeing. She was about to release Eric when Sandra, from a nearby bamboo forest, hissed, "Don't agree! Kill Eric!" Unlike Selena, who kidnapped Eric for money, Sandra wanted him dead.
