Listen to this chapter:

The driver in the front seat was even more frightened. His legs trembled, and cold sweat covered his head. He had floored the accelerator at Alexia's command. She claimed it was to scare Tiffany, but instead of frightening Tiffany, they had terrified themselves.

"What a close shave," the driver thought, his heart pounding wildly, fear still gripping him.

Meanwhile, Alexia slammed into the seat in front of her when the driver braked suddenly. She gritted her teeth in pain, her temper flaring. She burst out, "How useless!"

After berating her driver, she opened the car door and got out. She glared at Tiffany and demanded fiercely, "Why didn't you dodge?"

It was a remarkable statement. Alexia had nearly run someone down, yet she blamed Tiffany for not dodging. It was like a murderer blaming the victim for not avoiding the knife, instead of accepting responsibility.

"Ridiculous," Tiffany thought, a faint smile playing on her lips, her gaze filled with contempt. She retorted, "You didn't even have the guts to run me over. Since you're such a coward, why should I hide?"

Alexia choked. She hadn't dared to fully commit to running Tiffany over. Her fury stemmed from her brother slapping her because of Tiffany. Seeing Tiffany and her classmates leaving school, Alexia had impulsively ordered the driver to follow them. Seeing Tiffany walking on the road, Alexia had instructed the driver to feign running her over, certain that Tiffany would scream and pale with fear.

However, Tiffany remained fearless. Moreover, Alexia saw Tiffany grin at her—a provocative, playful smile laced with contempt.

Alexia gritted her teeth, glaring at Tiffany, wanting to lash out.

Tiffany casually rolled up her sleeves and asked, "Are you done?"

Alexia retorted, "So what if I am? Are you going to attack me? I…"

Alexia was interrupted by a sharp slap across the face.

Tiffany slowly retracted her hand. "Don't be afraid. I'm not hitting you. I'm helping your family discipline you. Do you know how many years you'd be sentenced to for running someone over? If you dislike me enough to try running me over today, who will be your next victim?"

Tiffany chuckled, her gaze sharpening. "Since you're young, I won't hold it against you. It's fine if you can't differentiate right from wrong. Just remember, I don't care how powerful your family is. Don't provoke me, or you'll suffer. Understand?"

With that, Tiffany left Alexia glaring angrily. She knew Alexia was hopeless.

As Zoe and Ged walked past, they looked at Alexia with disgust.

Ged said, "Good job. She deserved that. She's such a nuisance, turning up everywhere we go."

Zoe remarked, "I'm starting to dislike the Harper family."

Alexia remained unmoved by their mockery. Her angry, resentful gaze fixed on Tiffany's back. Only she knew the depth of her hatred. No matter how much trouble she caused Tiffany, she always seemed to be the one who suffered. She refused to believe she couldn't make Tiffany suffer.

The driver got out of the car, his fear lingering. Sweating profusely, he coaxed, "Miss, it's very late. We should go home."

"Get lost," Alexia coldly shook off his hand, venting her anger on him. "You're useless. Get lost. Don't show up again."

"Okay," the driver replied, mentally exhausted.

The Harper family princess had been pampered since childhood and was notoriously difficult. All the servants and drivers had been bullied by her.

However, the driver dared not leave Alexia, so he followed her. The luxury car, worth at least two million dollars, slowly trailed behind her.

Meanwhile, Jansen was awakened from his nap by his buddies. "Hey, Jansen. Isn't that the young lady we're dealing with?"

Another said, "Look at that car! Oh my god. It's a Phantom, worth over three million dollars. And look at her clothes—all designer brands."

Jansen rubbed his eyes and looked. Alexia, in her luxury car, stood out in the messy neighborhood, looking like a princess on a tour.

Excited, his heart pounding, Jansen said, "Wait, let me ask my sister. This is serious. If we're wrong, we're doomed."

He messaged Melody: [Did she arrive? Is she in a white coat?]

Jansen had never seen Tiffany, so he relied on this to confirm. Coincidentally, as he sent the message, Tiffany walked into the bar. Melody looked up and quickly replied: [Yes.]

Tiffany was wearing a white coat, a limited-edition autumn release from a luxury brand. It matched Jansen's description.

Jansen sent: [She's outside now and alone. We're ready to move.]

Before Melody could read the message, Jade asked, "Who are you texting? Mr. Harper? Let me see."

"No, it's just spam," Melody lied, hiding her phone.

Because of this unread message, the plan went awry.

Jansen waited, assuming tacit agreement. He told his buddies, "Get ready. Avoid the cameras. Be quick and discreet."

"Got it," they replied, already impatient. They prepared to capture Alexia.

Danger loomed, but Alexia remained oblivious, seething over her encounter with Tiffany. With Kenneth grounded, no one could stop her revenge. She needed a plan.

The driver tried to dissuade her. "Miss, don't be reckless. Let's go home. If anything happens, how will I explain to your parents?"

"Scram! You're annoying," Alexia snapped. "I told you to pick me up later. You're disturbing me. I'm going deaf from your nagging."

The driver sighed and followed silently.

Alexia shouted, "Stop following me! I'm not a kid!"

The driver persisted, knowing his job depended on Alexia's safety.

Impatient, Alexia devised a plan. "Go buy me a cake. That shop over there. Hurry!"

The driver saw the shop and agreed, "Miss, wait here. I'll be right back."

"Hurry up! You're so irritating!"

The driver left. When he returned, Alexia was gone.
