After giving her instructions, Melody returned to the private room. Knowing that no one genuinely wanted to celebrate her birthday, she skipped the festivities and cut the cake. As everyone ate and drank, an empty wine bottle lay on the floor; the other students were drunk. One by one, they linked arms and boasted.
It was time to leave. Seeing most of the others depart, leaving only a few in the private room, Melody turned to Alexia and asked, "Alexia, shall I send you home?"
"There's no need," Alexia retorted, rolling her eyes. Contempt filled her pretty face. "Who do you think you are? I don't need you to send me home! I want her to!" She pointed at Tiffany with a commanding gesture.
Alexia's arrogant attitude nearly provoked Zoe into a fight. "Are you finished? You've repeatedly started trouble. We've ignored you, yet you persist. You're crazy!"
Alexia burped, clearly drunk. Pointing at Tiffany, she slurred, "Did you hear that? I want you to take me home. If you don't, forget about being my sister-in-law!"
She still believed it was years ago, when, as Kenneth's sister, she'd bullied others with impunity. Unfortunately, no one cared now.
Tiffany, elegant as ever, left with Zoe and Ged. Alexia, stunned by their indifference, chased after them, shouting angrily, "Bitch, stop!"
She pursued Tiffany to the bar's entrance. As Ged stopped the car and Tiffany prepared to enter, Alexia, emboldened, grabbed Tiffany's hand. "Don't go!" Suddenly recalling past grievances, she bit Tiffany's arm, seemingly seeking revenge.
Everyone was taken aback. Even Tiffany was unprepared for such boldness. Alexia bit hard, as if to tear off a chunk of flesh. The pain was immediate and intense, numbing Tiffany's arm.
Zoe, alarmed, kicked Alexia in the stomach. Alexia yelped, releasing her grip and falling to the ground. Tiffany withdrew her arm, revealing a bloody bite mark.
"Damn it, that's brutal!" Zoe exclaimed, her own pain mirroring Tiffany's. She wanted to kick Alexia again.
Alexia's face paled from the blow, yet she laughed, her drunken state unclear.
"Tiffany, are you okay?" Zoe asked, distressed by the wound.
Ged quickly rinsed the wound with water. "It's bleeding; you need stitches!"
"It's fine," Tiffany replied, wiping the wound. She then saw Melody at the entrance, wearing a strange, sinister smile.
The night remained surprisingly calm. Tiffany, expecting Melody to retaliate for the Baron Creek Lane incident, was surprised by Alexia's outburst being the only trouble. Tiffany looked at the smug Alexia and calmly said, "Hurry home."
Alexia, defiant as ever, sneered, "How dare you? Who do you think you are?"
Tiffany said nothing more; it was Alexia's choice whether to heed her. They left.
Melody then approached Alexia, helping her up. "I'll take you home."
"No!" Alexia protested, believing herself too precious for Melody's touch. But drunk and disoriented, she was no match for Melody and was forcibly taken away.
Jade, exiting the bar after paying the bill, sighed. Being a good person was hard work; Melody, despite promising to pay, had asked Jade to cover the tab. Jade hoped Melody would repay her.
Upon leaving, Jade saw Melody leading Alexia into a dark alley—not a taxi. Suspicious, she followed.
In the alley, Jansen and his impatient accomplices waited. Jansen spotted Melody and Alexia—the girl they'd previously failed to abduct.
"Guys, they're here!" he shouted.
Melody placed Alexia on the ground, feigning a call to Kenneth to distract them, while secretly calling Jansen as a signal.
Alexia tried calling her driver, but was quickly subdued from behind with a cloth over her mouth and nose. Melody, her back turned, remained oblivious. Alexia's vision darkened, and she was knocked unconscious.
When Alexia awoke, her hands and feet were bound, her mouth taped shut, and several masked men stood over her.
