Listen to this chapter:

After Tiffany finished speaking, everyone laughed. Samantha, however, laughed the loudest, even making an exaggerated gesture. “Oh my god, you’re the CEO of StarRise Entertainment? Did I hear that right? Pfft. Hahaha, seriously, cut the act, will you?”

Laughter erupted in waves. No one took Tiffany's boasting seriously. In a moment of excitement, Samantha even called her father, proudly stating, "Come on, let's confront my father. I'll expose your lies! You're seriously full of it—how could you be the CEO of StarRise Entertainment? Tsk tsk, if you really were, I'd eat this shoe! This is just hilarious!"

Samantha looked at Tiffany with disdain. Tiffany, however, maintained a faint, unusually calm smile. When Samantha mentioned calling her father, Tiffany said unhurriedly, "Go ahead and phone him."

Samantha replied, "I'm waiting for the call to connect! Do you think I'm afraid of you? I'll make sure you embarrass yourself later!"

Soon, the call connected. Samantha deliberately turned on the speakerphone so everyone could hear. "Dad!" she asked loudly, "There's someone at our school who claims to be the boss of StarRise Entertainment. Don't you think that's ridiculous?"

Adam White, busy with work, replied curtly, "Who said that? They must be daydreaming!"

Everyone heard him clearly. Samantha clicked her tongue and looked at Tiffany with even more disdain. The others followed suit. Tiffany had seemingly made a fool of herself.

However, Adam was about to end the call when he remembered his daughter attended a prestigious school in Lovell City, where the fabulously rich and beautiful young CEO also studied. Panicking, he immediately asked, "What's the name of the classmate you mentioned?"

Samantha replied, "Her name is Tiffany. A murderer whose boasting backfired on her. She's so shameless!"

Adam's face turned pale, his eyelids twitching. After Samantha finished laughing, she noticed her father's mysterious silence. "Dad, what's wrong? Do you also think my classmate is very shameless?"

Adam's voice trembled. "Samantha, stop talking. If you continue, I won't be able to keep my job."

"Dad, are you kidding? You're the vice president of StarRise Entertainment. Who has the power to fire you?" Samantha's face was filled with pride and glee.

Just then, Tiffany's nonchalant voice cut in: "As a high-ranking vice president, you're exploiting your position to grant favors. StarRise Entertainment can't accommodate someone of your stature."

If Samantha hadn't caused such a stir, Tiffany might not have discovered her company's vice president was using his position for personal gain. StarRise Entertainment focused on creating top artists, not launching anyone who paid their way in. With one sentence, Adam was fired.

Samantha exclaimed, "What right do you have to criticize my father? He"

Before she could finish, her father's voice came through the speaker: "I'm sorry, Boss. This is my fault. I will forward the work documents immediately."

"Boss?" Samantha was stunned. She initially thought her father was playing around, but his helpless tone revealed the truth. Who could make a high-ranking vice president so subservient? Only one possibility: Tiffany, the one they ridiculed, was the hidden boss of StarRise Entertainment!

Samantha's expression changed drastically. Everyone else widened their eyes in shock. Under their incredulous gazes, Tiffany left with Zoe.

Samantha, regaining her senses, chased after them, kneeling and hugging Tiffany's feet. "Please, it's all my fault. I'm sorry! Please don't fire my father!"

Adam's vice presidency was hard-earned. Samantha cried until her voice was hoarse, even slapping herself several times to show her remorse. "I was wrong. I shouldn't have slandered you. I was wrong. Hit me and scold me if you want. I only beg you not to fire my father!"

However, Tiffany only asked, "If I wasn't the boss of StarRise Entertainment, what would you do?" Knowing Samantha wouldn't have shown mercy, Tiffany indifferently flung her hand away, saying, "Don't you already have an answer in your heart? Why are you still begging me?" Tiffany left, leaving Samantha defeated and regretful.

Tiffany, instead of hurrying to leave, took Zoe to the infirmary to treat her wounds—several bruises and scratches, some old, some new. Tiffany was both angry and heartbroken. She poked Zoe's head, saying, "Are you a fool or what? Is it worth getting hurt like this to defend me?"

The school doctor, an old man, treated Zoe's injuries while chatting with Tiffany. He asked her age (18), commenting, "It's good to be this age. It's good." His kind eyes held a mix of weariness and deep meaning, unseen by others.
