Chapter 300

Tiffany Kelley didn't sleep all night. The next morning, before her family awoke, she had washed and left.

A worried servant asked, "Miss Tiffany, did you not sleep well? It's still early. Why not have breakfast before going out?"

"Just say I went to school," Tiffany replied.

She got into the car, and the chauffeur drove her to the hospital. She hadn't gone to school. Ged Moody had been declared dead the previous night after paramedics failed to revive him. He lay in the morgue, awaiting his family.

When Tiffany arrived, Ged's parents were already there, having been there all night, weeping inconsolably. Few could comprehend the grief of parents losing their only son.

Tiffany approached the couple and helped Ged's father to his feet. "Mr. Moody" Her voice trailed off. Words seemed inadequate.

"It's my fault," Tiffany whispered. "All my fault."

She continued, "If Ged hadn't gone out to buy me a gift, he might be playing basketball at home now. If I hadn't been on that list, the assassins wouldn't have come after me, and that woman in the Hummer wouldn't have had the opportunity"

Tiffany closed her eyes in anguish.

Greg Moody shook his head. "How can this be your fault? If anyone is to blame, it's those vicious, ruthless, inhuman people!"

The assassins from the previous night were called desperados. No one knew their motive; it seemed they killed for the sake of killing. Lovell City residents felt increasingly insecure overnight, prompting tighter security measures.

Greg wiped his eyes and turned to her. "Miss Kelley, I might not be able to manage the company well during this period."

Tiffany looked at him. "Just call me Tiffany. Don't worry about the company. I'll arrange for help. Please accept my condolences. As for those" She paused.

As for those desperados, she thought, I won't let any of them go.

After a while, she left the hospital. The hospital entrance was filled with a constant stream of vehicles.

Chapter 300

Autumn rain shrouded Lovell City in fog. The views were blurry, the air damp and cold. Tiffany took her coat and got into the car, returning to Luna Villa.

June Spencer immediately updated her. "Miss Kelley, regarding the vehicle and the person you asked me to investigatewe found the vehicle, but there's no news of the person."

The woman in the Hummer was cunning. She'd concealed her identity, driven to a deserted suburban area, and dumped the vehicle in a reservoir before disappearing. With the city on high alert, she would likely remain hidden.

Tiffany wasn't surprised. She nodded. "Got it."

"Huh? That's it?" June wondered. "What's next? Aren't we investigating further?"

"No need," Tiffany replied. "By the way, arrange for my charitable foundation to partner with the school to organize a mountain field trip tomorrow. Use the supplies we purchased earlier, and include these people"

The people Tiffany listed were all connected to the previous night's incident.

June realized her intent. "Miss Kelley, you intend to lure the snake from its hole?"

Lovell City was on high alert; those with ulterior motives wouldn't act rashly. Such a stunt was risky, but a risk-taker would seize the opportunity.

Tiffany nodded. "Mm-hmm. Proceed accordingly. Thank you for your hard work, June."

"Please rest assured, I will do a good job," June replied, knowing better than to dissuade Tiffany. She contacted the school.

The school was filming a promotional video the following week and readily agreed; charity work would be a good addition. The short notice, however, meant participants had to leave the next day.

Kenneth Harper initially declined the trip, but Melody Princeton persuaded him, "Kenny, it's a good deed. You should come." He relented.

Chapter 300

That night, as Melody packed, Sandra Olson overheard the news.

"Tiffany Kelley is going too? Wonderful! I was worried I wouldn't be able to execute my plan. This is incredibly fortunate!" Sandra exclaimed. She felt less constrained in the mountains, and with Melody's help, making Tiffany's death appear accidental would be easy.

Melody wondered aloud, "Butisn't this too coincidental? It might be a trap."

Sandra scoffed. "Trap? Do you think Tiffany controls the world? You overestimate her!"

Sandra was still reeling from discovering Tiffany's identity as the Miracle Healer. But Tiffany's luck would run out. Sandra was proof; she'd returned unscathed and believed herself Tiffany's equal. Revenge was essential.

Melody considered this, and it made sense. The charity was low-key, rarely in the news, yet its record was impressive. This probably was a coincidence. The cemetery incident had made her paranoid.

"What do you plan to do?" Melody asked.

Sandra lowered her voice and explained her plan. Melody was shocked and impressed. "I retract my previous assessment."

She'd called Sandra stupid before, but now saw her ruthlessness.

Sandra smirked. "I've endured for this moment. This is my chance. I will make Tiffany Kelley suffer a fate worse than death!"
