Listen to this chapter:

"Those kidnappers must have been paid off by you," Stan demanded, his voice full of anger. "This whole thing was your plan, wasn't it?" The kidnapping had gone too smoothly, and many things didn't add up. He had underestimated Tiffany.

Tiffany responded with a sweet, innocent smile. "Stan, you're really something. Are you saying I forced you to steal $1,200,000? That I made you kidnap me? Your accusations are absurd."

Stan's face twisted with rage. He glared at her. He wanted to lash out, but his situation was dire. Any rash action would worsen things. Sandra was his only hope; he had to control his temper and wait.

"Let's go!" he snapped, standing tall and marching toward the exit of the Kelley estate with as much dignity as he could muster.

Tiffany, still smiling, called after him, "Stan, don't forget to pay back the $1,200,000. Oh, and things will be tough for you two, but don't take it out on Selena. Treat her well."

Stan nearly stumbled at the amount. He couldn't repay that much money. Beside him, Selena was still in shock, struggling to understand why they were being thrown out—it was all Stan's doing. But Tiffany's words snapped something in her. If Stan had stolen such a large sum and given her nothing, she saw no reason to stay.

"I want a divorce! Right now!" Selena said coldly.

Stan and Selena argued as they walked away, their voices fading. Tiffany watched them go, a small, satisfied smile on her lips. She was pleased with the outcome.

After a day off, Tiffany was called back to school. With finals and the holidays approaching, this exam was crucial. Her grades had never been great, and she'd refused tutoring, seeing no point in trying with uncaring classmates. But since traveling back in time, she'd worked hard and was much more knowledgeable, though no one seemed to realize it.

Lately, Sandra and Kenneth had been inseparable. Sandra's left arm was still in a cast, so Kenneth helped her with everything. They looked like the perfect couple, and everyone felt sorry for Tiffany, who'd been publicly cheated on.

"Honestly, having your fiancé flaunt his new girl right in front of you? Only Tiffany could put up with that," one girl snickered.

"Well, what can she do? Mr. Harper's not into her, and she won't let go. She's practically asking for it!" another girl added.

Tiffany glanced up and said, "Are you trying to get me to hit you?"

The girls quickly shut their mouths and hurried away.

Sandra, overhearing, immediately put on a pitiful expression. "Tiffany, I didn't mean anything by it. I just got hurt, so Kenneth is helping me. Don't take it the wrong way!" she said, feigning innocence.

Tiffany paused, then burst out laughing. "Playing the victim again, Sandra? Please, give it a rest. It's getting old," she shot back sarcastically.

Sandra squeezed out a few tears, casting a helpless look at Kenneth.

Kenneth frowned. "That's enough, Tiffany! Don't be so cruel. Sandra got in that accident trying to help you. How could you talk to her like that?"

Tiffany laughed. The story of her kidnapping had spread, but Charlie, protecting the family's reputation, hadn't revealed Stan's involvement. Everyone assumed Sandra's accident happened while saving Tiffany.

Once finished laughing, Tiffany didn't explain. She crumpled her test paper, tossed it in the trash, and walked out of the classroom.

On her way back to the dorm, she received a call from Caleb. The company was recovering, and he'd landed a small advertising gig—a low-budget clothing ad. This first contract wasn't about money; it was about announcing their return.

But the road to recovery wasn't smooth. The model they hired demanded an outrageous fee and acted like a diva. Caleb, having poured his heart into the project, wouldn't let it be ruined. The collaboration fell through.

As Tiffany listened, she frowned. "You want me to be the model?"

"Exactly!" Caleb replied. Hiring outside talent had proven costly. Tiffany, as the boss, was stunning and superior to any of the models they'd considered.

The only question was whether Tiffany would agree. She wasn't thrilled, but understood Caleb was out of options. She nodded. "I'll do it, but I won't show my face."

"Great!" Caleb exclaimed.

With the plan settled, Tiffany left school, hailed a cab, and headed to the outdoor shoot location.
