Chapter 407

By the time Tiffany snapped out of her daze, Thalia had already called her three times. "Tiffany? Tiffany? What are you thinking about? Are you feeling unwell? You don't look well. Did you sleep poorly last night?"

Tiffany shook her head and smiled. "No, I was just distracted. It's nothing."

Thalia said, "I'm glad. You'll be engaged in a few days. You need to be more responsible now. You can't be as naughty as before, okay?"

Tiffany nodded, saying perfunctorily, "I know, Mom. Don't worry."

A servant happily announced, "Mrs. and Miss Kelley, Mr. Hampton has sent the gown and jewelry for Miss Kelley."

Richard had said he would arrange everything, but Tiffany was surprised by his speed.

Thalia nodded. "Send the person in immediately."

John, carrying a large gift box, entered. He greeted Thalia before respectfully presenting the box to Tiffany. "Mrs. Hampton, Mr. Hampton sent this. He asked you to try it on when you're free."

Tiffany nodded. "Put it down. Thank you."

John grinned, placed the box down, and left.

Thalia smiled. "Tiffany, open it."

Tiffany opened the box. Inside, a champagne-colored wedding dress lay quietly. The color was beautiful; the design was understated yet luxurious, simple yet grand. Thalia recognized it as the work of an internationally renowned designer. These gowns were unlabeled and unpriced, but extremely expensive.

Several jewelry boxes were also in the box. They contained various diamond and gemstone necklaces—all top-of-the-line luxury items.

Thalia was shocked by Richard's generosity, but quickly smiled, feeling gratified and relieved. Her worries about her daughter's marriage vanished.

"Hurry, try it on," Thalia said, joyfully pushing Tiffany upstairs. "Go, it's a beautiful dress. My daughter will look gorgeous!"

Tiffany, with a wry expression, carried the box upstairs.

Back in her room, Richard stood by the window. Tall and elegant in a suit, he possessed a handsome figure. Tiffany blinked, closing the door. "Richard, why are you here?" His unexpected presence in her bedroom surprised her.

Richard turned, smiling. "Try it on." He explained that it was a gown he designed, made by an international master using extremely luxurious golden silk. In the light, it shimmered like starlight.

Richard had worked hard to give Tiffany the best and wanted to be the first to see her in it.

Tiffany blushed. "You should turn around."

Richard turned to the window.

A rustling sound followed by Tiffany's request: "I can't zip it up." The hidden zipper proved difficult.

Richard turned back. Surprise flashed in his brown eyes. Tiffany, in the champagne-colored dress, looked flawless, her face flushed, her eyes clear and slightly helpless.

He gently zipped the dress, feeling it was perfect for her.

Tiffany was surprised. "How did you know my size?" She'd gained a little weight recently.

Richard smiled meaningfully. "My measurements are more accurate."

Tiffany thought about what he measured and blushed angrily.

Richard picked up a diamond necklace, placing it around Tiffany's neck. She looked stunning. Richard nodded, his eyes darkening. "You look beautiful."

Tiffany, smug, replied, "Of course."

Richard laughed. He knew she was narcissistic, but he liked it.

Remembering her mother, Tiffany said, "I'll show Mom. Wait for me."

She ran downstairs, excitedly showing Thalia the dress. "Mom, does it look good? Does it look good?"

"It looks good," Thalia nodded, stunned. Even the servants complimented Tiffany.

Returning to her room, Tiffany said, "I'm back," closing the door and walking to the window.

Richard turned, teasingly asking, "Are you satisfied?"

Tiffany nodded enthusiastically, her smile widening. "Thank you, Richard. I like it very much." The dress, and his thoughtfulness, pleased her immensely.

Richard approached, his deep brown eyes dangerous. "Be good. Call me 'hubby.'"

Tiffany hesitated, taking a step back; she wasn't used to it.

Richard pressed closer. "Time to practice. You'll get used to it."

He cornered her. Seeing his handsome face, she begged, "I'll call you, I'll call you, alright?"

"It's too late," he said, kissing her.

Tiffany closed her eyes obediently.
