Chapter 416
Initially, Owen had prepared for the worst—closing the shop. It was preferable to enduring endless harassment. However, he hadn't anticipated Tiffany's swift and clean resolution. The perpetrators wouldn't harbor any further ill intentions. She also helped him release his anger.
Owen immediately itemized his losses: damage to the restaurant, complimentary meals for the affected guests, and restoration costs. The compensation demands quickly escalated. The vandals protested, "No way! Cleaning fees too? You're extorting us!"
Owen sneered. "Extortion? This is compensation. You deliberately attempted to frame me. Do you think I'll let you off easily?"
"Never!" they retorted.
Owen had them taken away for prosecution. There were consequences for their actions. The culprits remained silent, seemingly confident that Miss Xanthus would intervene. Tiffany smiled and let them face the consequences.
As they were removed, the other diners recovered from their shock. They couldn't believe Tiffany, possessing only striking beauty, had resolved the crisis with a mere silver needle. It was astounding!
"If we hadn't seen it ourselves," they murmured, exchanging amazed glances, "we wouldn't believe it."
Tiffany yawned, bid farewell to Owen, and left Maximus Restaurant, followed by her security detail. She resembled a queen escorted by her loyal guards.
Outside, she instructed her underlings, "Let's go back to the training camp." Two months prior, during summer vacation, she had trained there, near the diamond mine where she'd been chased by a tiger. This led to her discovery of the mine, which she used to dismantle the Lee family, who had attempted her assassination. The mountain, including the well-equipped training camp, now belonged to her.
Her personnel were handpicked for loyalty and clean backgrounds, then rigorously trained. Jeremy had overseen their training. This was their first deployment, and they exceeded her expectations.
Tiffany was pleased. Her subordinates responded in unison, "Yes, my lady!" They efficiently returned to their vehicles and departed. Their proficiency surpassed many professional bodyguards.
Tiffany glanced at the night sky, admitting to herself that she missed Jeremy. She worried about him, about those pursuing him, and whether his mission had been successful. Lost in thought, she was startled by someone's presence.
Richard's handsome face appeared under a streetlamp. Tiffany sighed; she'd admired his features countless times. They were truly captivating.
As she gazed, Richard frowned slightly. "Which man are you thinking about? You seem distracted."
She laughed, "You."
He raised an eyebrow, amused rather than jealous. He didn't mind the "bastard man" label; only she occupied his thoughts. She had to occupy his thoughts.
Tiffany chuckled. "How did you find me?" She'd received urgent news and rushed to Maximus, having strategically placed a spy within the restaurant to monitor the situation.

Richard, having learned she wasn't home, had sought her out at Maximus.
"Liar," Tiffany scoffed. With his resources, he didn't need luck. "You investigated my whereabouts!"
"Clever, darling," he purred.
His flirtatious tone and compelling gaze left Tiffany flustered. With passersby nearby, she urged him forward. "Hurry, let's go!"
He laughed, complying and entering the car with her. John, surprised by their hasty departure, greeted Tiffany respectfully.
Tiffany checked the time – 7:30 PM – suggesting a date. Richard readily agreed. The idea of a date pleased him. When Tiffany admitted to a lack of plans, Richard offered to choose their destination. She eagerly accepted, unaware of the mischievous glint in his eye.

"John, let's go," Richard stated.
John inquired, uncertainly, "Mr. Hampton where are we going?"
Richard simply offered a knowing glance. John, understanding their long-standing unspoken communication, felt both nervous and excited – Richard's first date was imminent.
