Chapter 431

Royal Bay was in chaos. After examining Richard's injuries, Sidney was distraught. "This poison is too strong," he declared. "If we don't neutralize it quickly, there's no hope!"

Outside the operating room, Hank nearly fainted several times, while John and Garry were frantic with anxiety.

"What should we do?" John demanded. "Tell me where to find the antidote, Mr. Pauley! I'll get it immediately!"

Sidney pondered briefly, then said, "I remember Tiffany left me a vial of pills—antidotes to all known poisons. I think—"

John interrupted. "Mr. Pauley, Mr. Hampton was injured because of that woman! Are you sure we can use her medicine? It might be poison, not an antidote!" His resentment was palpable.

Sidney shook his head. "It's an emergency; we have to take a chance. Besides, I don't believe Tiffany would do this. There must be a reason."

"What reason?" John shouted. "I saw it with my own eyes! That woman was up to no good. She doesn't deserve Mr. Hampton's kindness!" His anger intensified. "I regret not killing that heartless woman!"

Ignoring him, Sidney had someone fetch the vial. He administered several pills to the unconscious Richard.

The pills, manufactured using Miracle Healer technology, were extraordinary. They dissolved instantly, ensuring rapid absorption.

Sidney, usually calm and collected—the country's foremost physician—was now sweating profusely. He was taking a huge risk. If John is right, and Tiffany anticipated this, those pills are poison, not an antidote. If so, Richard is doomed, he thought, forcing himself to remain calm. Suddenly, the electrocardiogram showed a flatline. Sidney was shocked and immediately began resuscitation.

He used multiple acupuncture needles, eventually restoring Richard's heartbeat. He knew he couldn't delay further; surgery was necessary. Garry and John waited anxiously outside, knowing not to disturb him.

A servant announced, "The Saintess from the Azure Sea Royal Family, who visited before, is here again. She claims she can save Mr. Hampton. Shall we admit her?"

Garry and John exchanged worried glances. "Morwen?" they exclaimed.

Garry recalled, "Last time she came to Lovell City, Royal Bay was her first stop. But Richard had orders to bar outsiders, so she was dismissed."

John hesitated. "But now she says she can save Richard… could it be true?" Hank, who had been silent, finally spoke. "Let her in!"

His son's life was at stake. Even a sliver of hope was worth pursuing. Garry, though hesitant, agreed; they had no other options.

Morwen rushed in with a servant, presenting a vial of medicine. "This will cure Mr. Hampton. Give it to him now!"

The Azure Sea Royal Family was renowned for its medicine and skilled healers. John, overjoyed, reached for the vial. Morwen added, "But under one condition."

"What condition?" John knew she had ulterior motives.

"When Mr. Hampton awakens, he will marry me," Morwen smiled, looking directly at Hank. "This is what we agreed upon. Let's forget the past and start anew." Forget the past? Tiffany was the mistake. Morwen’s right. It’s time to wipe the slate clean, Hank thought, about to agree, when the operating room door opened.

Sidney emerged, his tone firm. "That won't be necessary. Mr. Hampton is stable. The medicine I administered worked."

Tiffany's pills were a miracle cure, an antidote to all poisons. John was stunned. "Really?" He couldn't believe it. Tiffany stabbed Richard, yet gave Sidney the antidote? Why?

Ignoring John, Sidney addressed Hank. "You know your son best. Don't rush into a marriage. Let's wait until Richard wakes up." Sidney knew Richard wouldn't choose Morwen, or likely anyone else, against his will.

Hank sighed in relief. "Are you sure he's stable? Is he still in danger?"

"He's stable, but lost a lot of blood. It will be some time before he awakens," Sidney lied. Richard was far from stable; besides the poison, a hallucinogen was present. Even if he survived, regaining consciousness was uncertain. But Sidney kept this to himself. Hank, relieved, left.

Morwen was stunned. "Didn't you say Mr. Hampton was poisoned? Aren't you going to save him?" She was unaware of Tiffany's prior actions.

Sidney smiled falsely, patted Garry's shoulder, and said, "Escort Miss Xanthus out."

Garry, though reluctant to be ordered around, readily complied. He forcefully removed Morwen, leaving her at the entrance. Morwen, furious, yelled after him, but Garry simply shut the door. Her anger was palpable.
