Chapter 471

A few days ago, at the engagement party, Richard had someone check all the guests entering the hotel. Superficially, there were no problems. However, one inexplicable event occurred: Charlie, Thalia, and Eric Kelley disappeared for a considerable time.

Richard investigated, but found nothing. Even Charlie and Thalia claimed memory loss. Richard found this unconvincing and suspected foul play. His suspicions were heightened by Hank’s furious reaction to their absence, prompting Richard to intervene. Following this, Tiffany also disappeared. Believing this to be no coincidence, Richard confronted Hank:

“Who instigated you to wreak havoc at the engagement party?”

Stunned, then enraged, Hank retorted, “Are you suspecting I deliberately sabotaged things? Since I agreed to your marriage, I won’t back out! You're shirking responsibility and blaming me!”

Hank stormed off. Sidney and Garry, remaining silent throughout, later questioned Richard's suspicion of Hank, suggesting the Kelley family seemed more suspicious. Richard curtly dismissed them: “Shut up.”

Sidney, despite his doubt about Tiffany's involvement, agreed that Hank was unlikely to be responsible, mentioning Grelle's all-day wait outside. Richard interrupted: “So?”

Richard ascended to the second floor, his voice echoing, “From now on, I want no eyesores in this house or on this mountain.” His subordinates complied.

That night, the Kelley family was unexpectedly peaceful. The harassment had ceased. Tiffany awoke to an empty bedroom, prepared herself, and went downstairs, where Eric rushed off to class. Later, Charlie, dressed in a black suit, left for the Harper family funeral; many years ago, the families were close, and despite later conflicts, Charlie felt obligated to attend Ryan Harper’s funeral. Tiffany accompanied him.

The Harper family tragedy was still discussed; Ryan supposedly died after a fight with a robber. However, the details remained uninvestigated.

At the cemetery, Tiffany found Kenneth distraught. She sat beside him, calmly asking, "Have you found the person behind this?" Kenneth, needing to channel his grief, admitted they had only uncovered half the truth; the night of the tragedy, all surveillance and communication were disabled. The assassins wore masks, their identities hidden except for one with a prominent chin scar. An artist created a portrait from Alexia's description. Upon seeing it, Odin wept and confessed. He had paid someone for information regarding the Treasure Box, unknowingly facilitating the murder. Kenneth lamented his decision to investigate the Treasure Box secretly, against Romeo's advice.

Tiffany, upon hearing of the chin scar, asked if the man had a fierce face and a mole on his left eyebrow. Kenneth was astonished; Tiffany's description perfectly matched the assassin.
