Chapter 475

Tiffany's face flushed crimson. Supporting Richard, she slowly walked into Royal Bay. The servants who came to greet them exchanged subtle glances. More precisely, they were all surprised, to varying degrees, by Tiffany's presence. Everyone in Lovell City knew about the incident at their engagement party; Tiffany had inflicted the fatal wound on Richard. Her audacity in returning to Royal Bay astonished them. The older servants frowned, their eyes narrowed with varying degrees of suspicion and anger.

Tiffany ignored their stares and helped Richard upstairs. A first-aid kit was already there. She personally removed his suit and shirt, revealing his muscular chest and clearly defined abs. His physique was strong and undeniably sexy; the sight made her blush and her heart pound.

Face red, Tiffany retrieved the disinfectant. This was the first time she saw Richard's wound up close. A deep scar marred his chest; since it had reopened, blood flowed steadily. The pain it must have caused was almost unimaginable.

Tiffany stiffened. She had inflicted this wound. Even under hypnosis, she knew she had intended to kill him. Looking at it now, she couldn't comprehend the severity of the injury at the time.

Tiffany took a deep breath and gently dabbed the oozing blood with a cotton ball. She stemmed the bleeding, applied antiseptic, and carefully bandaged the wound. She was painstakingly gentle, determined to minimize his pain.

Remarkably, Richard didn't even flinch. His handsome face remained impassive; his calm demeanor belied the severity of his injuries.

Finally, the wound was dressed. Tiffany withdrew her hand. "Done."

"Okay," Richard replied languidly. He reached out and gently pulled Tiffany onto the bed.

"Don't move!" Tiffany dared not push him, given his injury. She could only glare at him fiercely. However, her glare lacked conviction.

Richard rolled over and pinned her down. His magnetic voice was low. "Don't you have to make it up to me?"

"For what?" Tiffany was stunned, speechless as his kiss landed on hers. With intense longing, he explored every inch of her.

Tiffany's face flushed, and she tried to pull away, embarrassed. "Richard, behave yourself!" She thought, He's already injured like this, what is he thinking?

"I can't." His reply was self-assured. He was a man with needs, and it was difficult to suppress his desires for his lover. Besides, they weren't married yet.

Richard's dark eyes burned with desire. His pupils reflected Tiffany's flushed face and tear-filled eyes—a captivating sight. He lowered his head, his breath hot on her skin.

Ultimately, he shifted, causing his wound to reopen; the newly applied bandage was stained red again.

Tiffany was embarrassed and furious. "If you move again, I won't care about you anymore!"

Only then did he reluctantly stop. Tiffany gritted her teeth and re-bandaged the wound. Immediately afterwards, she retreated, saying before Richard could speak, "Don't move. I'll go wash my hands!"

Her hands were stained red. As long as she didn't leave him, he would be fine.

Richard raised an eyebrow, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"Come back soon," he said.

Tiffany thought, Bastard!

She fled the room, her face burning. There was a sink in the bedroom, but she didn't dare stay. She needed to wait until he calmed down before returning.

Tiffany went to the sink on the first floor. The memory of what had just happened still made her blush. She slowly washed her hands and face. The cool water helped to reduce the heat on her cheeks.

As she turned to go back, she saw two elderly servants.

"What is it?" Tiffany asked.

Their eyes held the same vigilance and resentment.

"Miss Kelley," one said, "you nearly killed Mr. Hampton. How dare you return to Royal Bay?"

These servants had watched Richard grow up. Their hatred and resentment for Tiffany were palpable, despite their attempts to control it.

Tiffany was slightly taken aback. Her mouth twitched.

"So?" she asked.

"Therefore," the old servant said, "you should leave Royal Bay and never appear before Mr. Hampton again. What if you try to hurt him again?"

Tiffany remained silent. She didn't know how to explain; the facts were undeniable.

The servant's face was cold, his gaze like that of someone witnessing a catastrophe.

"Because of you," he continued, "Mr. Hampton flew into a rage. John was punished with a hundred lashes for trying to intercede, and he's still bedridden! Because of you, Mr. Hampton severely punished many others. Even those who opposed the Kelley family in business were dealt with! Even though you hurt him so badly, almost killing him, he still did all that for you! What about you? How much can you do for him?"

The servant sneered, hitting the nail on the head. "Miss Kelley, can't you see clearly? You're not worthy of Mr. Hampton at all! If you stay with him, you will get him killed sooner or later!"

Tiffany didn't want to hear any more. She vaguely recalled returning to Richard's bedroom. She only knew that as she opened the door, he blocked her in the corner.

"What took you so long?" Richard frowned, his handsome features still captivating.

Tiffany replied nonchalantly, "It's only three minutes. How is that long?"

"Really?" he said. "I thought it was three years."

Tiffany laughed. The moment her eyes lowered, the smile vanished.

The servant's words echoed in her mind, a relentless curse: If you stay by his side, sooner or later, you will get him killed.

Tiffany shuddered. Will I…get him killed?

The servant's words were meant to drive her away from Richard. But she couldn't, and she wouldn't waver. She loved Richard. From the moment she accepted his proposal, she prepared to face anything with him. Therefore, she would never leave him.
