Chapter 498
On the top floor of the Meryeason Hotel, Grelle sat on a sofa, exquisitely dressed in a gorgeous red strapless gown. The style revealed a mature allure that belied her age, making her appear seductive.
She smiled contentedly at her reflection. Turning, she saw a tall man in a custom-made suit, his back to her. Only his profile was visible, but he was undeniably handsome. Despite knowing he was an imposter, an indescribable joy filled Grelle's heart.
She mused, "He looks just like Richard. When Tiffany finds this room, she'll see the fake Richard and me. With Tiffany's arrogant personality, she won't accept Richard's betrayal! This will deepen the misunderstanding between them, giving me the perfect opportunity to get closer to Richard!"
Lost in thought, Grelle was startled when the man turned. The moment he spoke, the carefully cultivated Richard-like demeanor crumbled.
He said, "How long will this take? I told you I have a show this afternoon!"
The man possessed a handsome face and a well-defined jawline, appearing quite attractive in profile. However, his aura was completely different from Richard's once he turned.
Grelle said, "Don't worry, she'll be here soon. You still need to touch up your makeup; that part of your face doesn't look quite like him." She meticulously adjusted his face.
"Just keep your expression consistent. As long as you act well, it will definitely work," she continued. "You promised to help me. Remember not to speak; just do as I say."
"Of course," the man replied smoothly. "That's why my acting is flawless. I was an actress for a while."
"Alright, stop bragging. Hurry up," Grelle urged, glancing at the time. "Tiffany should be here any minute." She sent a text to Tiffany: "The show's already started."
Grelle's guess proved correct. Tiffany had just arrived. She stepped out of the car, placed her hat on her head, entered the hotel, and proceeded directly to the elevator.
Step by step, Tiffany hid her anticipation, even as a throng of people surrounded her. Doubt never crossed her mind.
Tiffany reached the door to the room. Hesitantly, she slowly opened it, her hearing barely catching a voice within.
She thought, Is this the so-called "good show"?
The corners of Tiffany's mouth twitched as she approached. The voices inside grew clearer.
"Mr. Hampton," a mellow, shy voice purred.
Tiffany froze, her hand poised on the door. Through the crack, she saw Grelle pressed against the man, her face flushed, intimately clinging to his neck.
The man, tall and straight in his suit, was Richard, his profile visible through the gap.
Tiffany was frozen, breathless. A sharp pain pierced her heart, a sudden snapping sensation in her head. Zoe's recent words echoed, a harsh slap in the face, shattering her hopes and joy.
She thought, "What a good show. Truly brilliant."
Tiffany smiled coldly, took a deep breath, and gathered her strength, kicking the door open with a resounding bang!
The sudden noise startled the pair. The man instinctively turned, but Grelle clung to him tightly.
Without hesitation, Tiffany flung the door wide open. She had completely lost control.
No matter how much he disguised himself, this was the final blow, shattering the facade. Grelle's deception was over. Tiffany would never forgive her.
Grelle had gambled, and lost. Regardless of the man's disguise, Tiffany would recognize him, and this farce was over. The man she had found, despite his efforts, was a mere imitation.
Later, during an interrogation at the police station, Tiffany confronted the man.
Tiffany said, “Mr. Hampton, why did you betray me? What happened?”
The man remained silent.

"I know, I know, I've already said it. I'll only ask you to do this once," Grelle pleaded. Though the intimate scene was staged, Grelle felt violated.
She added, "Keep it a secret."
"Got it," the man nodded. Then, he asked, "By the way, Cynthia, aren't you afraid others will find out about today?"
