Chapter 529

Tiffany laughed, her eyes calm and emotionless. Kurt and Simon Ashton's plan to harm the Kelley family had crossed a line. She intended to eliminate them swiftly.

The best revenge was to give them a taste of their own medicine. They had committed numerous evil acts, even against their own father. Tiffany acknowledged this familial connection, having called Victor "Grandpa" at his funeral. Kurt and Simon's mutual destruction could be seen as retribution for Victor, allowing him to rest in peace.

Leaning against the back seat, Tiffany closed her eyes. "Follow them to the hospital," she said slowly.

"Yes, Miss Kelley."

June immediately started the car, following the ambulance. At the hospital, emergency room doctors attempted to save Kurt and Simon, but their injuries were too severe.

A doctor sighed. "Who's the patient's family?"

A relative of the Ashtons stepped forward, followed by others. They had been in the next hotel room and heard the commotion, but initially dismissed it. Only when the fighting escalated did they try to intervene—too late.

Kurt, impulsive and reckless, acted on his anger without considering consequences. By the time relatives intervened, he had already shot Simon in the kidney. Simon, surprised by Kurt's attack, returned fire, hitting Kurt in the heart. Both brothers fell, their blood staining the carpet.

Terrified, the relatives called for an ambulance. The doctor's prognosis was grim:

"Kurt is dead. Simon's kidney is severely damaged. Surgery is risky, so please sign this notice." He added, "We'll do our best."

The relatives exchanged worried glances. Kurt's death and the potential loss of Simon meant a larger inheritance for each remaining family member. One relative, wiping away tears, pleaded with the doctor, then, in a lowered voice, added, "Of course, if the surgery fails, we won't blame you. Instead… thank you," slipping him a check.

The doctor, shocked, pushed the check away. "This is my duty!" he said, returning to the emergency room.

The long wait felt arduous, though only half an hour passed. Simon, due to his severe injuries and blood loss during resuscitation, died. Relieved, the relatives left the hospital without seeing him.

Tiffany and June observed everything. After the relatives departed, Tiffany went to Simon's ward. Seeing her, Simon saw a savior. He weakly reached out, hoarsely pleading, "Save me, Miss Wood, please…"

He believed the Miracle Healer could save him.

Tiffany approached, a mocking smile on her lips. "Why should I save you? Give me a reason."

Simon stammered, "Didn't we have a deal? Two million dollars, and you promised to save me…"

Tiffany remained silent, her eyes mocking. Simon sat up abruptly. "Are you lying to me?"

"Lying about what?" Tiffany asked.

"You said you could cure me. You said if you found the source of the poison, if you let my brother…" Simon stopped, his eyes turning vicious. "You lied about the slow poisoning?"

The realization dawned. But it was too late.

Tiffany smiled faintly. "Not entirely. I could have saved you, and you were poisoned. But I never said Kurt poisoned you."

"The beads! The powder!"

"I crushed the beads," Tiffany interrupted. She had indeed crushed the beads, but she was the one who'd poisoned them. She never explicitly accused Kurt; Simon had reached that conclusion himself.

Simon's face froze, then erupted in furious anger. "It's you!" he roared. "You used me to kill my brother, you vicious bitch!"

Tiffany stood, removing her mask, revealing her stunning face. Simon froze in disbelief.
