Chapter 531

It was the sour kind. Richard's status was unparalleled. He was young, handsome, and held the reins of the global economy. His every move sent tremors through Lovell City. Which woman wouldn't dream of such a man? But that dream was shattered

Tiffany hadn't expected Richard's actions. Overjoyed, she immediately hugged his neck and kissed him. Richard seized the opportunity, holding her waist and carrying her to Royal Bay. A hot-blooded man, how could he resist such an invitation?

Tiffany offered no resistance. However, a problem arose: her period hadn't ended.

Richard choked, frowning. It wasn't ideal. He sighed, obediently got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Tiffany laughed, pulling the blanket around herself. The pillow's faint lavender scent was pleasant. She exhaled contentedly and rolled around on the large bed.

Richard returned to see Tiffany wrapped in the blanket. He chuckled, walking over to uncover her. "Don't worry, I won't do anything. Aren't you afraid of suffocating?"

Tiffany blinked, snuggling into his arms. "By the way, Richard, did you see anyone at my house this afternoon?" She'd heard Simon's implication about assassins sent while she was at the hospital; the matter slipped her mind when she saw Richard.

"Don't worry, I handled them," Richard replied, pinching her face playfully. "What concerns you concerns me."

"Yup," Tiffany nodded, already guessing his success. With Richard involved, it was foolproof. Plus, she'd stationed men near the Kelley family, ready to respond instantly. Relieved, she relaxed.

Later that night:

Richard suddenly asked, "Honey, what day works for you?"

"Any day. What's up?"

"What about this date?" Tiffany looked down; he was pointing to December 12th.

Lovell City's winter weather was mild, convenient for outings. She subconsciously nodded. "It's good."

Then, a thought struck her. "What date did you have me pick?"

"Our wedding date," he murmured, his voice low and pleasant. His words held an unexpected intensity.

Tiffany was momentarily stunned, then blushed slightly. "Okay"

She thought: We've come this far; the wedding is inevitable. But the engagement party trauma lingers. Felix is still at large. And he has the Inheritance Power from the Treasure Box. How strong has he become?

Richard understood her anxieties. Raising an eyebrow, he comforted her, "Don't worry. I'll make him disappear beforehand."

"Then I'll come with you!" Tiffany declared. "I won't hold you back. Besides, I have something to ask him in person."

"Okay," Richard agreed, his eyes gentle, almost overly so. Tiffany blinked. She felt a strange familiarity with him; his gaze reassured her completely. Unprecedented emotions swelled within her.

She kissed him. The moonlight was soft, the room warm. But at his most aroused moment, he felt her weak hands on his waist. He frowned and murmured, "Let go!"

"Oh," Tiffany said, completely unaware of her faux pas, obediently releasing him.

Richard's face darkened. He bit her lips, then rushed to the shower.

The next morning:

Tiffany rubbed her nose, looking innocently at the ceiling. I didn't do anythingRichard's just too sensitive, she mused, laughing inwardly.

The sun streamed into the luxurious bedroom. Tiffany awoke to Richard's gaze.

"Morning," she said, stretching and winking. Her playful slyness was evident.

Richard's Adam's apple bobbed; his suppressed desires rekindled.

"Morning," he almost growled, then pounced on her before she could react.

"You're so itchy, you bastard" Tiffany laughed, her laughter echoing in the sunlit room.

Downstairs, Sidney, John, and Garry waited impatiently. Garry suggested, "Let's quietly listen upstairs. See if there's any… movement."

Sidney smirked. "What do you want to hear?"

Garry choked. Their secret laughter was interrupted by Richard and Tiffany's arrival. Richard was clearly refreshed; Tiffany's face was flushed, her eyes bright and captivating.

Sidney and Garry exchanged amused glances. "Richard, can we skip the desert today? It's supposedly scorching hot, and full of insects…"

"No," Richard instantly refused. He wanted to protect Tiffany from insect bites, so he'd let Sidney and Garry face them instead.

Sidney and Garry wilted.

No love left. Richard's still heartless, they thought.
