Chapter 552

After Tiffany whispered, the large black bear in its cage seemed to understand. It wailed excitedly, spinning in circles with tears streaming down its face. Whether it was distressed or delighted was unclear.

Tiffany sighed softly, then walked forward and unlocked the iron cage.

The newly freed bear knelt at Tiffany's feet, whimpering and cooing, occasionally rubbing its large head against her pant cuffs.

"Let's go," Tiffany said.

She descended from the eighth floor with her pet. On the first floor, Michael—who had been splashed with sulfuric acid and had his wounds bandaged—was in a foul mood, smashing objects on the ground.

"Who ordered you to shut down the mechanism against my orders?" he roared. "Who told you to listen to that woman? You're still claiming to be in charge of the Treasure Pavilion? Are you kidding me? Who does she think she is, the mistress of our royal family? Let me tell you, I was personally promoted by Miss Xanthus. Do you think you can surpass me? No way!"

The two former men in charge were thoroughly scolded and remained silent.

Tiffany sneered and exited the elevator with the bear. Michael slammed the table upon seeing her, and more than ten guards rushed in.

"That woman barged into the Treasure Pavilion and released the crazed black bear without permission," Michael declared. "She threatens the safety of the entire royal family. I suggest we kill her on the spot."

He listed several accusations, seemingly building a substantial case against her.

Tiffany raised an eyebrow. Before she could speak, the bear, sensing danger, pounced on Michael. Its roar sent him reeling backward, pale-faced.

"Look, the crazed bear attacked someone! Kill it!"

The Treasure Pavilion guards were about to act when a diamond pendant was thrown onto the table.

"Who dares?"

The diamond pendant, representing half the rights of the Azure Sea Royal Family (and thus, half the power of His Majesty), commanded absolute obedience.

Everyone's expression changed. The guards immediately holstered their weapons.

The crisis averted, the bear obediently returned to Tiffany's side, standing with a silly, somehow spiritual and joyful expression.

Michael, however, refused to believe the pendant was genuine. He rushed to the table to examine it, but the bear's roar frightened him into wetting his pants. "Help!" he cried.

Nobody sympathized with him.

Tiffany looked at the two former men in charge and instructed, "I'll leave the men to you. I'll also leave the Treasure Pavilion to you. As for my Blackie… I'll take him with me."

She pocketed her diamond pendant and left the Treasure Pavilion, the bear close behind. The two figures quickly disappeared into the night.

The two men in charge exchanged surprised glances. "Didn't the black bear recognize its master? Why is it suddenly so obedient? It left with Miss Kelley twice. Could it be…"

The other man continued, "Miss Kelley has the royal family's diamond pendant. No wonder Morwen was so afraid and wanted to get rid of her. Could it be that… Miss Kelley's identity…"

Gasps were audible. Shock flashed across their faces. Then, relief dawned. "If she's the heir to the Azure Sea Royal Family, it's a good thing we didn't offend her…"

"Yeah, yeah," the other agreed.

They, possessing a modicum of conscience, had no desire to harm Tiffany. However, they felt differently about Michael. After observing him for some time, they chuckled. "You're finally in our hands after bullying us for so long."

Late that night, the Treasure Pavilion echoed with punches, kicks, and muffled screams.

Tiffany returned to Morwen's castle with the bear. The place was secured by Garry and others. As for Morwen… she remained in the bathtub, even after the bubbles had dissipated and the water had grown cold, held captive by June, shivering.

Garry and John nearly jumped out of their skin when Tiffany arrived with the bear. Tiffany, however, smiled cruelly and raised the bear's paw. "Come, baby. Say hello to everyone."

Everyone's lips twitched. She had truly tamed a king of beasts; even her pet was shocking.

Garry gulped, fear evident, but asked eagerly, "Tiffany, can I ride it?"

The bear tilted its head, sensing no malice, and obediently lay down, awaiting Garry.

Garry was pleasantly surprised. "Fuck!" he exclaimed, then sat on the bear without hesitation. The bear stood and ran wildly through the courtyard with Garry on its back.

Screams erupted from the sidelines. The group, shedding their initial timidity (except for a few), gathered to pet the bear, creating a chaotic but fun scene.

Tiffany shook her head. Would Blackie be bald later?

Tiffany laughed and went to the third floor, entering Morwen's bedroom and proceeding to the bathroom. Morwen, gagged and shivering in the cold water, was held down by June. Their standoff had lasted at least three hours.

Tiffany chuckled and massaged June's shoulders. "June, you've worked hard."

"Miss Kelley, you're back? How did it go?" June asked.

"Neither good nor bad," Tiffany replied casually, shaking her head. "Go rest, June. Leave her to me." She had questions for Morwen about her grandfather.

"Okay."

June, exhausted, left. Only Tiffany and Morwen remained.

Tiffany pulled the bath ball from Morwen's mouth. "You must be suffocating, Miss Xanthus?"

"Don't even think about trying to please me. It's useless even if you beg me," Morwen retorted, thinking, I still have value. Tiffany won't dare hurt me until His Majesty recovers.

"You're that confident?" Tiffany asked, smiling faintly. She then shoved the bath ball back into Morwen's mouth. "Then you'd better shut up. After all, your value is meaningless to me."

She turned to leave. Morwen panicked. She had lost the upper hand before negotiations even began.

Morwen, gagged and bound, could only make desperate sounds. Tiffany stopped.

"Speak," Tiffany said, pointing to the window. "I'll give you one chance. If you don't tell me what I want to hear, I'll throw you out."
