Chapter 621

Near Luna Villa, Kenneth sat in his sports car, its sleek body hidden in the shade of trees. Shifting shadows played across his face, obscuring his emotions. He had followed the couple there but kept his distance to avoid attracting Richard and John's attention, exercising extreme caution.

From his vantage point, he clearly saw Luna Villa. He watched Tiffany, beaming radiantly, take Richard's hand and lead him inside. The servants showed no surprise, as if this were commonplace.

Kenneth sat in the car, clutching a small glass bottle containing two pills. He wanted to discard them but couldn't bring himself to do so. He yearned for the woman he desired but hesitated to act against his nature. Conflict, confusion, and a sense of being lost overwhelmed him. He felt trapped in a silken cocoon, gasping for air, on the verge of suffocation. He wanted to struggle but couldn't break free.

With a frustrated growl, Kenneth slammed his fist on the steering wheel. The car horn blared, but no one noticed. After a deep breath, he poured out one pill, examined it carefully, then replaced it.

According to Lorenzo, the pill was a love poison. Once ingested, it would make two people fall deeply in love, regardless of their past or acquaintance. If true, Kenneth thought he still had a chance, but he didn't know how to get Tiffany to take it.

Kenneth frowned, grappling with the problem. He knew Tiffany's true identity. When June had stormed into the Harper family, revealing that Tiffany, not Melody, had saved him, he realized she was the Miracle Healer, the legendary figure immune to all poisons. This explained her previous torment.

Kenneth smiled bitterly. Given Tiffany's unique constitution, he doubted the pill would affect her. Failure would likely preclude any future closeness or friendship.

Taking a deep breath, Kenneth's gaze hardened. He started the car, turned around, and drove away from Luna Villa.

That night, Richard drove Tiffany back to Cedar Ridge Villa. It was the eve of their wedding. Though longing filled the night, it wasn't appropriate for them to stay out late. Before leaving the car, Tiffany leaned over, kissed Richard's cheek, and said brightly, "I'll wait for you to pick me up tomorrow." Everything was ready for the wedding. She would wear her bridal gown, awaiting her beloved.

Richard's eyes were filled with affection. "Don't worry, I'll be on time."

Only then did Tiffany get out of the car, saying, "Goodnight!"

"Goodnight," Richard replied.

The black luxury car disappeared into the night. Tiffany turned toward the villa. Suddenly, a familiar voice called, "Tiffany."

Tiffany turned to see Kenneth's shadowed, unreadable face. "What are you doing here?" she asked, startled, glancing around instinctively before teasing, "I hope there are no paparazzi tonight. Otherwise, I'll be getting bad press tomorrow." Her joking indicated she had moved past the scandal.

Kenneth smiled, remaining ten steps away, avoiding any misinterpretations. "I came this morning, but you weren't here," he said.

Tiffany nodded, waiting for him to continue.

"You're getting married tomorrow. Congratulations," Kenneth added.

"And when are you planning to start calling me 'Aunt'?" Tiffany asked.

Kenneth was speechless. He saw her innocent expression, the playful glint in her eyes, and her serious demeanor. He laughed helplessly. "You really are" She effortlessly dissolved his bitterness.

Tiffany straightened, her teasing gone. "Is that why you came?" she asked directly.

"Not exactly," Kenneth hesitated, summoning courage. He looked at her and asked seriously, "Do you really love him?"

Tiffany knew whom he meant. The sudden question surprised her, but she quickly regained her composure. Her playful smile vanished, replaced by a solemn expression. "Yes, I love him," she answered firmly and resolutely.

Kenneth's expression changed. It felt as if his heart had been ripped open. He couldn't stop or fix it. Hearing her confirmation, even though he suspected it, cut him deeply.

Kenneth lowered his head, hidden in shadow. Desolation filled his face. "I understand. I wish you all the happiness you deserve," he said, turning and walking away, his retreat almost a flight.

Tiffany frowned, puzzled by his reaction, but didn't dwell on it. She understood the implication of his words and had answered decisively, hoping he understood. She turned and entered the villa.

In the living room, Charlie, Thalia, and Eric sat, eagerly watching the door. Seeing Tiffany, their faces lit up. "Tiffany!" they called in unison.

Tiffany laughed, forgetting the encounter. Warm happiness filled her. "I'm back!" she announced.

After leaving the Kelley residence, Kenneth drove to Royal Bay. The estate was dazzlingly lit. Everyone knew they would welcome their official mistress the next day. They meticulously inspected decorations. The atmosphere was festive and extravagant, meticulously prepared. Sidney and Garry had arrived. They were awed by Richard's lavish efforts, a testament to Tiffany's importance to him.

John coordinated with his team. After the engagement party mishap, he refused to let anything go wrong. The estate was on lockdown. Then, he noticed Kenneth's car arriving.
