Chapter 690
Tiffany's body trembled. The answer was too absurd to believe. Despite her doubts, Richard's hurried, evasive words kept replaying in her mind, intensifying her tremors. She hadn't expected this; she never imagined Richard's warmth concealed a relationship with another woman.
Tiffany's face paled, her body trembling slightly. The Treasure Box, realizing its mistake, cautiously asked, "Master, are you alright?" Forced by Tiffany's threat to reveal part of the truth, it nervously emitted a brighter blue glow. The Box should not have revealed what happened after Tiffany's death in the previous timeline.
Barefoot, Tiffany left her bed, retrieved her phone from her coat, and shakily dialed June's number. Her unstable emotions required two attempts to connect.
"Miss Kelley?" June's drowsy voice suggested she was already asleep, but she quickly became alert. "What happened?"
"Come pick me up." Tiffany then climbed out her bedroom window and vanished into the night. The Treasure Box flickered on the bed, desperate to follow, but Tiffany didn't look back. Distance eventually lulled the Treasure Box back to sleep.
Twenty minutes later, June found Tiffany walking barefoot alone, her figure disappearing into the darkness beneath the mountains at Royal Bay. Anxious, June stopped the car, rushing to Tiffany's side. "Why are you out here like this? What happened? You're barefoot, coatless, and your hands are freezing!"
June's worry was evident as she hurried Tiffany into the car. Throughout the drive, Tiffany remained silent, only muttering, "It's nothing," in response to June's questions. June knew something was wrong.
Anxious, June reached for her phone to call Richard. They had returned from the Azure Sea Royal Family's estate less than two hours ago. The drastic change in events suggested an argument or conflict, serious enough to drive Tiffany out in the middle of the night.
Before June could call, Tiffany snatched the phone. For the first time, she spoke coldly, "Don't ask. Don't call him."
June looked up, meeting Tiffany's determined gaze. This commanding tone was unprecedented.

June nodded. "Okay." Regardless of what happened, she would support Tiffany. If Tiffany said not to call, she wouldn't. If Tiffany said not to ask, she wouldn't.
Tiffany returned the phone, curling up quietly in the back seat. Five or six minutes later, they arrived at Luna Villa. Tiffany immediately instructed, "Change the security system. No one is allowed to enter without my permission."
"Understood!" June promptly complied.
Tiffany returned to her bedroom, closing the door and shutting out the world. The bewildered servants asked, "What happened? Why does Miss Kelley look so upset?" It was more than upset; a suffocating tension surrounded her.
June shook her head. "I don't know. Don't ask. Just do your jobs."
"Yes!" The servants quickly dispersed. June updated the entire security system, replacing the gate's password lock and activating electric shock nets.
Looking at Tiffany's dark bedroom window, she saw Tiffany consumed by darkness, like a frightened hedgehog, using its spikes to keep others at bay. Sighing, June returned to her room.
Richard went to the police station to bail out Kenneth. Two days prior, Kenneth and his men, armed, had confronted Felix, resulting in a violent skirmish with Felix's men at Felix's villa. The commotion led to Kenneth's arrest. Only Richard could secure his release.
Late that night, Kenneth's handcuffs were removed. He bowed his head, murmuring, "Thank you for your help."
Richard's expression was unreadable. "You messed up something this small?"
Kenneth remained silent. His plan had been sound, but a traitor among his men had warned Felix, causing his escape and alerting the police. Kenneth was furious at being so close to eliminating Felix.
Richard, too tired to lecture him, was preoccupied with Tiffany. He immediately left.

The car sped toward Royal-Ray. Richard stepped out, noticing the light in the second-floor bedroom. His cool expression softened into a faint smile.
Garry, noticing Richard's expression, joked with John, "He's always showing off in front of us single guys."
John, naively, replied, "Actually… I don't mind." He was happy as long as Richard and Tiffany were happy.
Garry feigned heartache. "Which side are you on?"
Richard overheard, raising an eyebrow but maintaining his smile. Ignoring Garry, he entered the villa.
The servants greeted him, but he swiftly disappeared upstairs. Seeing his eagerness, the older servants exchanged knowing glances and chuckled.
Entering the bedroom, Richard found the bed slightly disheveled, the Treasure Box carelessly placed on it. He smiled helplessly; Tiffany treated the Box like junk, unlike others who treated it like a treasure.
Richard put the Box away, assuming Tiffany was in the bathroom. The bathroom was empty. Richard's smile faded, replaced by an unsettling premonition.
