Chapter 706

Garry was fast asleep, dreaming, when someone shook him awake. He immediately asked, "What's wrong?"

"Mr. Hampton wants you to come over right away," John said.

Garry didn't waste a moment. He quickly got out of bed, tidied himself up, and rushed out. John walked alongside him, casually saying, "Don't forget to pay me 200 dollars. You lost that bet."

Garry was incredulous. The bet was whether his cousin Richard would be turned away again at Luna Villa. Garry was sure he'd win, but he'd lost.

'Does that mean Richard got rejected again tonight?' Garry thought, stopping mid-step with a miserable expression.

John frowned. "What's wrong?"

"If something bad happens later, promise to save me!" Garry said anxiously.

John blinked in confusion. "What did you do this time?"

"I don't know yet," Garry said, replaying recent mistakes, hoping nothing serious would come of it.

When they reached Richard, Garry was surprised to find him sitting on the couch, typing on his computer, seemingly in a good mood.

"Richard?" Garry called hesitantly. The morning light streamed through the open curtains, illuminating Richard's flawless features. Garry couldn't help saying, "I'm not bad-looking, so why do you outshine me every time?"

Richard heard him. "What, you want to be me?" he asked.

"Of course not!" Garry shook his head firmly. Before he could say more, Richard tossed him a set of clothes. "Put this on," Richard said.

Garry's eyes lit up. "Wait, these are your clothes? Really? You're giving them to me?"

Richard's wardrobe consisted of custom-made designer pieces. Garry had admired them for ages but never dared to ask.

"Yes, go change," Richard replied casually, without looking up from his computer.

Delighted, Garry quickly changed. Admiring himself in the mirror, he said, "Wow, they actually fit me perfectly!"

Richard glanced up, a small smile playing on his lips. To Garry, the smile seemed ominous.

"What are you planning, Richard?" Garry asked nervously, hugging himself. Before the silence grew awkward, John said, "Put on this mask too," handing him one.

Without question, Garry put it on. When he looked in the mirror again, his jaw dropped. "What the? How do I look exactly like you?"

Richard's clothes and the mask transformed Garry into Richard's doppelganger. Shocked but curious, Garry asked, "Do you want me to take your place?"

"Yes," Richard replied, closing his laptop. "The company's operations are all set. Don't blow your cover while I'm gone."

Richard rose to leave. "Gone? Where are you going?" Garry called after him.

But Richard had disappeared out the window, leaving only the words, "To make up with my wife."

Garry turned to John, disbelief etched on his face. "You knew about this all along?"

John shook his head. "I only found out recently."

No one could have imagined that Richard, always so composed and rational, would go to such extremes. He was willing to pay any price for Tiffany.

Garry asked, "So, how's Richard planning to make up with her? Any idea?"

"Probably with money."

Meanwhile, Tiffany slept in late. By the time she came downstairs, June was setting the table. Seeing Tiffany, June instructed the servants, "Serve lunch."

All the dishes were Tiffany's favorites, including fondue. The fragrant aroma whetted Tiffany's appetite.

"June, you're so thoughtful," Tiffany said with a smile.

For days, Tiffany hadn't been eating well, but today's meal restored her appetite. She devoured most of the food, making June sigh with relief.

Then, June brought up a matter of business. "Miss Kelley, we received a letter from Miracle Healer requesting a consultation. The deposit is 20 million dollars, and the client promises to pay ten times more once they recover."

Tiffany hadn't been feeling well, so Miracle Healer had stopped taking cases, focusing only on selling spirit herbs. However, today's consultation fee was exceptionally high, prompting June to ask Tiffany's opinion.

Tiffany's eyebrows shot up. "20 million? As a deposit?"

"Yes," June confirmed. "The money is already in our account. Should I accept or return it?"

"Accept," Tiffany said decisively. "We're keeping the money." It was too good a deal to pass up.
