Seeing Philip's expression change, Sandra knew her plan had worked. As expected, Philip frowned and waved them off, saying, "If you're not here to attend the lesson, go somewhere else. Don't interrupt my teaching."
Philip was a guest instructor teaching for a few days at the school; his time was precious, and it was a unique opportunity for the students. Therefore, when the students in the studio heard Philip dismiss Kelley, they joined in, chasing them away. "Don't you understand human language? Get out of here already!" one shouted. Another girl added, "Don't just stand there in our way! Do you have any idea how valuable this class is?" A third chimed in, "Get lost! It's annoying how shameless you are!"
Most people would have been mortified and left, but not Tiffany. She not only stayed but calmly walked into the studio. Pointing at a painting Philip had hung as an example, she said evenly, "This painting is mine. I'm just here to take back what's mine. Is there a problem with that?" Standing on the podium, she lifted her chin slightly. Her delicate face was strikingly beautiful, but her words were met with laughter.
"Hahaha, did I hear that right? Did Tiffany just say that painting is hers? This has to be the joke of the year!" one girl exclaimed. Another added, "Seriously, how shameless can you get? Do you even know your own skill level? You just barged in here to take credit. You're probably just jealous that your cousin became Philip's student and not you!" The first girl echoed, "That's right."
After the laughter subsided, Sandra feigned surprise, as if incredulous at Tiffany's audacity. With tears in her eyes, she complained aggrievedly, "Tiffany, how could you say that? I know you're upset that I've outshone you, but you can't go around making such ridiculous claims."
The interruption angered Philip. He asked sharply, "What's going on here?"
"Sir, it's like this," Tiffany said, her voice tinged with sobs. "The one who disrupted the lesson is my cousin. I'm staying at my uncle's house, but my cousin dislikes me and often ignores me, not wanting me to outshine her."
Sandra didn't elaborate, but everyone understood the implication of constant bullying.
Philip immediately empathized with her difficult situation. Looking at the red-eyed student, he comforted her, "Don't worry. I will take care of this." He thought, A young girl like Sandra couldn't possibly cause much trouble.
He then called the school's security, requesting assistance with a disruptive student. Within five minutes, several guards arrived, asking, "Where's the troublemaker?" Someone pointed to the podium, and the guards rushed forward to drag Tiffany away. A punishment seemed inevitable.
Sandra lowered her eyes, appearing upset about her cousin's betrayal, concealing her joy. Zoe panicked; they had come to expose a fraud, not to be expelled. Seeing the approaching guards, Zoe was losing her composure. But, turning back, she saw Tiffany calmly seated on the podium, looking anything but disruptive. The guards were momentarily taken aback by Tiffany's imposing presence.
Philip impatiently waved his hand, saying, "Don't dawdle. Take the troublemaker away."
The guards snapped to attention, but Kelly smiled indifferently and asked, "Mr. Fremont, are you really planning to cover for your students even if they are in the wrong?"
"Of course not," Philip said sternly. "I never condone wrongdoing, but I also won't allow anyone to slander my students."
"If you're not covering for her, why are you only listening to Sandra's side of the story?" Tiffany countered. Standing, she pointed to her two paintings on the wall, saying, "I'm just here to take back my paintings. What's wrong with that?" Her demeanor was confident, her eyes clear, devoid of dishonesty.
Sandra's anxiety grew. She feared that if this continued, Philip might become suspicious. Worse, Tiffany's exceptional painting skills meant another demonstration would reveal the truth. This was Sandra's worst nightmare.
So, she cried out, her voice filled with grief, "Tiffany, do you really want to drive me to despair?" People instinctively sympathize with the weaker party. Sandra played the victim, her eyes brimming with tears. In contrast, Tiffany's calm demeanor made her seem aggressive.
Philip was losing patience. Before he could speak, girls siding with Sandra sneered, "Tiffany, have some shame, will you? It's bad enough to be thick-skinned, but this is shameless!" Another added, "Exactly. Do you think you can just claim those paintings are yours and take them away? Where's your proof? Did you sign your name on them or something?" Everyone scoffed.
To their surprise, Tiffany smiled faintly, "And what if I told you that my name is indeed on the painting?"
"Impossible!" Sandra snapped, panic in her voice. "Tiffany, why won't you give up? Do you really want to make things so ugly between us!" Sandra, having meticulously checked the room for cameras and inspected the painting, was certain Tiffany was bluffing.
"Arguing won't help," Tiffany calmly suggested. "Why don't we let Mr. Fremont examine the painting? Let's see if my name is hidden there. What do you think, Mr. Fremont?"
Philip agreed. With both sides adamant, it was best to let the evidence speak for itself. Ignoring Sandra's desperate pleas, the fair-minded Philip took down the paintings. Sandra's palms were sweating; it was a high-stakes gamble.
Silence fell as the students watched. Girls who'd defended Sandra reassured her, "Don't worry, Sandra. If you're in the right, there's nothing to worry about. This is the perfect chance to teach Tiffany a lesson. Let's see if she dares act so arrogant again." Another added, "That's right. She's so full of herself, always bullying you just because she's a rich girl. How detestable!" These comments only fueled Sandra's resentment. It's all your fault, she thought, blaming them.
After a long examination, Philip frowned, "There's nothing here, not a single word."
