Chapter 263

At the same time, Marvin suddenly collapsed. Landon caught him just in time and hauled him off. The emcee announced the wedding would continue, and Kayla and Tuff returned to the stage to recite their vows and exchange rings.

“Mommy, I wish you and Tuff a lifetime of happiness,” Landen said, dressed in his little suit, offering his heartfelt blessing. He then turned to Tuff. “Tuff, you’re my father now. You have to treat my mommy well forever!”

Tuff grinned and nodded. “Of course!” That declaration of “my father” energized Tuff. He slipped the ring onto Kayla’s finger, scooped Landen into his arms, and called out, “Photographer, get some great shots of the three of us! Make sure my boy looks super handsome!”

The crowd erupted in laughter and applause. Blending in with the guests, Aiden couldn't help but smile. ‘Kayla, I hope you find true happiness,’ he thought. ‘And Landen, I hope you’ll always be happy too…’

“Mr. Kyle, long time no see,” Henry said, approaching with a sycophantic toast. He had cut ties with Gloria’s family, but a large event like a wedding was worth attending. He had witnessed Kayla’s happiness, but also noticed a flaw—Aiden and a boy who looked strikingly like Landon. Henry had given up on taking over Kingsley Group, but causing trouble for Gloria’s family remained satisfying.

“Get lost! Don’t mess with me!” Aiden barked coldly.

Henry was stunned. “Mr. Kyle…”

“Open your mouth again and I’ll tear your tongue out!” Aiden’s face was stone-cold, and he was clearly serious.

Henry shrank back, slinking away. ‘Shit, why did I run into such a hard-ass?’ he cursed inwardly. He would never understand Kayla’s importance to Aiden. If Landon hadn’t dealt with Shelby and Marvin, Aiden would have. ‘No one gets to mess up Kayla’s wedding!’ Aiden swore to himself.

Once the ceremony ended, the bride and groom toasted each guest. Tuff and Kayla approached Aiden. “Aiden, thanks for coming,” Kayla said warmly.

“Kayla, I wish you all the happiness in the world,” Aiden replied, raising his glass.

Tuff thought, He looks pretty handsome when he’s not being so intense.

“The gifts have been delivered. Kayla, you have to accept them,” Alden said.

Kayla’s eyes welled with tears. “Okay, thanks!”

“Ahem, I’ll treat Kayla right for the rest of my life,” Tuff said, clearing his throat.

Aiden shot him a cold glare. “If you ever hurt Kayla, I’ll wipe out the Prescott family.”

“Never gonna happen!” Tuff laughed, trying to appear calm. But inside, he fumed. This little brat is actually threatening me? If it weren’t for the wedding, I’d knock him on his ass!

“Uncle Aiden, stay at our place tonight. We have a new home now,” Landen said, taking Aiden’s hand affectionately.

Tuff was speechless. No way! Tonight our new home is not open to guests! he grumbled inwardly. Who lets their brother-in-law crash next door on their wedding night, anyway?

“Um…” Tuff shot Landon a look. Come on, someone get this maniac out of here! I don’t want him messing up my wedding night! Tuff pleaded mentally.

Landon was equally uninterested in Aiden staying. He pretended not to notice Tuff’s silent plea.

Amelia, suppressing laughter, said, “Mr. Kyle, the Kingsley family gave Kayla a hotel as a wedding gift. Why don’t you go help keep things in order over there?”

“Okay.” Aiden agreed, grinning.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

“That kid isn’t related to Kayla,” Aiden told Tuff. He’d seen the bloodstain on Kayla’s bedsheet. So that kid couldn't be Kayla's child. But regarding Landon, Aiden narrowed his eyes, a knowing glint in them.

“And he’s got nothing to do with me either,” Landon said irritably, glaring at Aiden.

Chapter 263

‘That kid… he’s Dad’s illegitimate son,’ Landon thought. But he couldn’t say that aloud. ‘If Mom ever found out Dad had an illegitimate child, it would break her heart,’ he pondered, feeling guilty.

“Mr. Kyle, see you,” Amelia said, pulling Landon away. She lowered her voice. “What exactly did Marvin say to you?”

“That kid… he might actually be my dad’s…” Landon whispered.

Chapter 263

Amelia had figured it out. Otherwise, that kid wouldn’t look so much like Landon.

“Who’s the kid’s mother?” Amelia asked.

Landon hesitated.

“Marvin must’ve told you something. Come on, spill it! I can handle whatever it is,” Amelia said, watching his face curiously. ‘What’s the big secret?’ she wondered.

“It’s… Aunt Shelby,” Landon blurted out.

What the hell! A bombshell dropped, leaving Amelia shell-shocked. Isaac and Gloria had always been considered the perfect couple. Even after years of interference from Donna and Henry, their relationship remained strong. There were rumors of women trying to seduce Isaac, but he always refused. And this perfect husband had an illegitimate child?

Having an illegitimate child was one thing—a drunken mistake, perhaps. But for the kid to be Shelby’s? That was explosive—almost unbelievable!

“We can’t let Mom find out,” Landon sighed.

“Got it,” Amelia replied, sighing in helplessness. If Isaac were alive, Gloria would have someone to demand answers from. But he’d been gone for years. Just thinking about it saddened Amelia.

“I think we really need to get to the bottom of this first. We can’t just take their word for it,” Amelia said, clinging to hope. She hoped it was a lie. ‘How could Isaac have possibly hooked up with Shelby? Besides, she already had two kids when she met Isaac,’ Amelia thought.

“I’ll look into it. But…” Landon took a deep breath. “If they dared to stir up trouble at the wedding, maybe it’s really true.”

Amelia fell silent.

“Alright, you go home and stay with Mom. I’ll talk to Aunt Shelby,” Landon said.

“Okay.” Amelia agreed.

Chapter 263

Shelby slowly regained consciousness. Seeing Marvin, she exclaimed in disbelief, “Marvin, why are you here too?”

“We totally fell for Landon’s trick!” Marvin growled, frustrated. They knew Landon wasn’t easily threatened, so they’d split up—one on stage, one below. If Landon tried anything, Shelby would shout the truth. But Landon and Kayla managed to subdue them both simultaneously.

“He really is worthy of being from the Flying Tiger Sect,” Shelby spat. “But whatever—what’s done is done, and we’re not scared of him.”

“As long as you’re not upset, Mom, I’m good,” Marvin said softly, pouring her water.

As Shelby drank, she asked, “And your little brother? Where is he?”

“They took him away too,” Marvin replied.

“Huh, it’s just a DNA test, nothing more,” Shelby scoffed.

“Yeah, I’m not worried. There’s no way Landon would actually kill his own brother,” Marvin said.

Shelby nodded contentedly, seemingly unaware she was under house arrest. She looked like she was on vacation!

Aaron, eavesdropping, twitched. ‘Shit! That Jeffrey kid really is Mr. Kingsley’s little brother!’ he thought.
