“Hubby!” Amelia exclaimed, her voice trembling and heart racing as she stared at Landon, his clothes stained with blood. She was scared out of her wits.

Landon pulled her into his arms and said, “I’m fine. It’s just minor scrapes.”

Amelia’s eyes widened in disbelief. ‘Could minor scrapes bleed so much?’ she thought. Her hands trembled, and she pushed him back and quickly shut the lounge door behind them. Even at this point, she reminded herself to stay calm and not frighten Edith. “Hubby, let’s get to the hospital quickly,” she said, her voice on the verge of breaking, eyes brimming with tears.

Landon gave her a reassuring smile, saying, “I’ve told you I’m fine…”

“But there’s so much blood…” Amelia said.

“Not all is mine.”

Landon took off his shirt, and Amelia finally burst into tears. “You scared me to death…”

It turned out he just suffered from minor scrapes. Besides a two to three-inch gash on his arm, there was nothing else.

“Honey, you’re such a scaredy-cat now,” Landon teased, amused. ‘Back then, my injuries were way worse, and you were never so scared,’ he thought.

“I’m getting old. I used to be a daredevil, but now I’m all cautious,” Amelia said with a shaky laugh.

“Nonsense! You’re as young and radiant as ever!” Landon teased, grinned, and affectionately pinched her cheek.

“What about others?” Amelia asked.

“They’re all fine. They’ll come over once they finish what they’re doing,” Landon replied.

“What about Jonny?”

“He managed to slip away, but Aiden’s chasing after him now. Landen’s also been picked up,” Landon said.

‘It’s not a perfect outcome, but honestly, it’s not too bad,’ Amelia thought.

“I hope he’ll never come back to disturb Kayla’s life again,” Amelia sighed and said.

“Aiden’s after him. He said he could handle it,” Landon reassured her.

However, Amelia didn’t hold out much hope. After all, Aiden had already tried to take Jonny out twice, and it still hadn’t solved anything.

“Don’t worry. He can’t escape this time. We let him escape on purpose, and once we locate the base Monroe left for him, we’ll eliminate it for good,” Landon said.

Landon pinched her cheek, refusing to let go. He couldn’t get enough of her. If it weren’t for the venue, he would have grabbed her and kissed her like crazy.

‘Only God knows how dangerous my situation was just now. If Night Owl hadn’t pulled off that hypnosis trick with all her might, Jonny’s knife wouldn’t have just cut my arm instead of stabbing me right in the heart,’ Landon thought.

“Hubby… Hubby…” Amelia whispered, feeling relieved as she nestled into his arms.

Not long after, Daniel returned. The groom’s tailored suit jacket was nowhere to be seen, and he was walking around shirtless. His pants had been torn during the fight, revealing red boxers underneath.

The corners of Amelia’s eye twitched, and she instinctively looked away. “He’s hilarious,” Landon said, and couldn’t help laughing. “Let’s go check it out.” Amelia was at a loss for words.

Daniel didn’t feel the slightest bit disheveled. On the contrary, having just won a battle, he felt like a triumphant general and shouted, “Edith, I’m back!”

“Hubby!” Edith opened the door herself and then froze. Everyone in the lounge burst out laughing when they saw him.

“Danièl, what happened to you?” someone teased.

“And you’re the groom? Your boxers are out for everyone to see; it’s so embarrassing!” another joked.

Daniel lowered his head and looked at himself, grinned, and declared, “Hey, I just won the fight!”

“Yeah, my hubby’s the best!” Edith beamed, her eyes full of admiration.

Daniel was even more smug. “Honey, you know what? The fight today is the thing I’m most proud of in my life. I’m gonna tell our son about it, and our grandchildren. The whole Zuckerberg family for generations must remember my moment of glory!”

“Sure! Sure!” Edith echoed right away.

Amelia rubbed her forehead and thought, ‘These two really are a perfect match; always in perfect sync in whatever they do.’

“Daniel, what’s the matter with you? What the heck happened today?” Tyler asked, his voice full of concern.

“Tyler, some punks tried to crash the wedding,” Daniel replied, waving it off like it was nothing.

As the head of the Zuckerberg family, he was usually running the business empire and hardly got his hands dirty in a real fight.

‘But today? Man, I feel awesome! So freaking epic!’ he thought to himself.

“Daniel, you didn’t offend some dangerous people, did you?” Tyler asked, looking seriously worried.

‘If Daniel’s got some kind of enemy after him, there’s no way I’m letting my daughter marry into that mess,’ he thought.

“Nah, I didn’t,” Daniel replied.

“Then what is it all about?” Tyler pressed.

“We settled other people’s grudges once and for all today.”

Tyler’s face darkened. “Daniel, you’ve gone too far. How can you make a joke out of a wedding? Edith is timid, and she’s pregnant,” he said.

“Dad, I knew about it,” Edith said with a smile.

Tyler was stunned. “You knew about it?” he asked.

“Yeah! Daniel and I were both part of the plan today,” Edith replied.

Tyler was at a loss for words. ‘Looks like my daughter has grown tougher,’ he thought.

“Tyler, the wedding’s over. Time for you to head back,” Joanna said.

Thinking about his daughter now being part of another family, Tyler couldn’t help but feel sad. “Edith…”

“Dad! I’m just married to Lunova, only three streets away from home. I’ll still come back often,” Edith said helplessly.

Joanna was speechless, too, and gave Tyler a shove. “Alright, time to go home!” she said.

“Edith, don’t forget to come home!” Tyler called out.

“Yeah, I know!” Edith replied. Tyler wiped his tears, turning back to look at her every few steps as he walked away.

Daniel was about to take Edith home. After a moment’s hesitation, he turned to Maisie and said, “Could you bring Joanna back later?”

“We’ll check with her later,” Maisie replied with a relaxed shrug. “You guys go ahead.”

“Alright,” Daniel responded. Daniel and Edith made their way home, while Amelia accompanied Landon to the hospital to get his wound bandaged.

The Flying Tiger Sect handled the aftermath, and Amelia caught sight of Lennon again. He was all smiles, and he looked like he didn’t take part in today’s mayhem.

Amelia paused, then said, “Lennon, sorry about today. You didn’t get to enjoy the wedding party.”

“No worries,” Lennon shrugged and said. “I’ll get to toast with you guys someday.”

Amelia suspected he had misunderstood. “Lennon, we’re not going to throw another wedding…” she said.

“I know,” Lennon winked and said, “I’ll just go over to their place and celebrate with them.”

Amelia was at a loss for words. ‘He’s such a strange, bright guy,’ she thought.

Just as Tuff picked up Landen, he headed straight home. “Landen…” Kayla’s voice cracked just as she saw her son, tears welling up in her eyes. “Landen, I’m so sorry. I love you, I really do…”

“Mommy, I know,” Landen said, standing on his tiptoes to wipe away her tears with his little hands.

Kayla was at a loss for words. She was afraid that things would get more complicated the more she tried to explain.

“Landen…” she whispered.

“Mommy, does it still hurt?” Landen asked with concern, and Kayla was baffled.

“I heard everything. You’re injured and can’t have another baby, right? So what you said that day was to trick Dad because he was being bad,” Landen said.

Kayla couldn’t believe her son was so clever. Overjoyed, she held him tightly and whispered, “Landen, Landen…”

“Mommy, nobody bullied me! I live well every day, and look, I’ve gained weight,” Landen said. He had indeed put on a little weight; his cheeks were noticeably rounder.

Kayla was finally relieved. “Landen, it’s my fault. I didn’t protect you well,” she said.

“No, it’s my fault. I promise this will never happen again,” Tuff, by the side, said solemnly.

Landen smiled happily, and tears welled up in his eyes. ‘See? Bad Dad was wrong. Not only does Stepdad love Mommy, but he loves me, too.’

‘I have perfect love from Dad and Mom. I’m the happiest child in the world!’ he thought.

“Daddy, thank you,” Landen said, walking over and planting a kiss on Tuff’s cheek.

Tuff almost teared up right then and there. He swore to himself that from now on, he wouldn’t just treat Landen as his son, he would also love and protect this kid twice as much as anyone else ever could.

‘Even though that bastard Jonny is Landen’s biological father, it doesn’t matter at all. I raised him and he would be my son!’ he thought to himself.
