His Secret Millionairess Wife Chapter 1

"OMG! Who are you?" Lauren shouted.

As soon as Lauren entered her room, a man grabbed her and pulled her inside. He covered her mouth with one hand and pressed her to the sofa with the other, his hand also gripping her waist. He began to remove his clothes, saying with a vicious smile, "Don't try to fight back! I'll make you comfortable tonight!"

Lauren realized the man intended to rape her. She kicked him fiercely in the groin. Quickly rising, she grabbed a fruit knife and threatened him.

"Who sent you here? Tell me!" she demanded, glaring at him.

She had been an orphan since childhood, but yesterday the Bennett family had revealed she was Mr. Bennett's daughter and wished to take her home. Someone clearly wanted to prevent her return.

"No one," the man said dismissively, unafraid of her threat or the prospect of arrest.

Lauren narrowed her eyes. "Really?"

"Ye—yes!" Before he could finish, the knife pierced his shoulder. He trembled in pain.

Lauren said calmly but menacingly, "What you're doing is burglary and attempted rape. Even if I 'accidentally' kill you, it'll be self-defense. Now, are you going to tell me who sent you?"

The man panicked. "I'll tell you everything!"

The Bennetts' luxury car waited outside Lauren's apartment. She took the man's confession and returned to the Bennett family home.

Inside, she heard a woman crying. In the large living room, a middle-aged couple and a tall teenager comforted a distraught girl.

"Sally, don't cry. Even if she comes back, we still love you best," Mrs. Bennett said.

"Your mother is right. You've been our daughter for over ten years. Even if you're not related by blood, we still love you. Lauren is, in fact, a stranger to us," Mr. Bennett added.

"Sally, don't cry. You'll still be our family, and if Lauren dares to bully you, I'll kick her out!" the teenager declared.

These three were Lauren's biological parents and younger brother.

Lauren sneered inwardly and entered the room. Upon seeing her, their expressions changed, and they greeted her warmly.

"Are you Lauren? Mom misses you so much!" Mrs. Bennett exclaimed.

Lauren frowned and pulled a piece of paper from her bag.

Mrs. Bennett looked confused. "What's this?"

"This is proof that Sally, your daughter, hired someone to rape me!" Lauren slapped the paper onto Sally's face.
