Chapter 100

The foreigner stopped, as Nathaniel expected, verifying his suspicion that he'd found the right person.

"Mr. Moreau, I've come to pick you up. I'm Nathaniel Hall, president of MN Inc. Ms. Neville mentioned me, I believe." Nathaniel smiled, panting slightly. Beside him, Melanie exchanged confused glances between her boyfriend and the foreigner. "Who is this guy?" she wondered.

Frank scrutinized Nathaniel through his glasses. "Yes, I've heard her mention you. Hello." His expression was cold and indifferent, though he nodded politely. Nathaniel enthusiastically extended his hand. "Hello, nice to meet you!"

Frank briefly touched Nathaniel's hand in a quick handshake before releasing it. "Where's the car?" "It's parked outside. Please, come with me!" Nathaniel led the way, brimming with excitement.

Melanie, perplexed, repeatedly glanced at Frank. He was a Caucasian man with golden curly hair and striking features; handsome, by most standards.

Frank seemed to sense her gaze and turned to look at her. Melanie, momentarily stunned, smiled politely back. Frank's glasses reflected the flashing lights.

Frank sat in the back seat, while Melanie sat in the front with Nathaniel, who was driving. Despite having a driver, Nathaniel chose to drive himself, to show his sincerity. He glanced at the rearview mirror periodically.

"Mr. Moreau, I'll first take you to your hotel to drop off your bags and rest. I've arranged a welcome dinner for you this evening."

"Okay," Frank replied casually.

Nathaniel remained enthusiastic. "I'm pleased you could come. Ms. Neville said you're the top person in the industry. I believe our company's difficulties are nothing to you. You"

Frank interrupted. "I'm a little tired. Could we discuss this later?"

He closed his eyes, reclining his seat, clearly indicating his disinterest. Nathaniel stammered, then recovered. "Sure. Please rest. I'll wake you when we arrive."

Nathaniel's effusive praise made Melanie uncomfortable; she frowned at him. Looking at Frank through the rearview mirror, she thought his behavior rude, regardless of his identity, yet Nathaniel was doing his best to appease him.

Remembering Nathaniel's mention of Ms. Neville—a familiar surname—she suddenly recalled someone. Turning to Nathaniel, she whispered, "Nate, by Ms. Neville, do you mean?"

"Hush!"

Nathaniel shook his head, frowning. He gestured towards the back seat with his eyes. "Mel, you've worked hard these past few days. Get some rest. We'll welcome Mr. Moreau warmly at dinner."

Melanie remained silent, understanding his reluctance to answer.

"Drive safely," she murmured, settling into a more comfortable position and dozing off, her head resting against the window.

Frank, in the back seat, slowly opened his eyes.
