Heather was still sleeping when Hannah returned. Heather seemed to sleep longer and longer lately, and her complexion had worsened. She disliked visiting the doctor, considering it a disgrace for a year-round kickboxer who rarely fell ill. Even if she were unwell, it would be minor and heal quickly. As usual, she planned to sleep, rest, and exercise to recover.

Knowing Heather would have questions, Hannah took her time waking her and slowly prepared soup. She made soup for Heather almost every other day to nourish her. It always seemed to help. Today, it was lotus root bone soup. Its fresh, sweet aroma filled the room, eventually waking Heather, who gestured for Hannah to come upstairs.

Hannah filled a bowl before ascending. "Heather, I made soup. It might settle your stomach."

"Put it down," Heather instructed, indicating a nearby surface. She sat on the bed's edge, sipped some water, and looked at Hannah. "I heard the Russells had problems today." She likely heard from Chump; he wasn't at the Russell estate, and the attendants hadn't been present during the meeting. Even the housekeepers were tight-lipped, sharing only fragments of information. The Russells' troubles were good news for Heather; the more they struggled, the better for the Riggs family.

"It's quite messy," Hannah confirmed quietly.

"Tell me!"

Hannah recounted the situation, omitting details of the Russells' internal disputes, focusing instead on the cause and effect. Heather's interest grew with each word. "So, Ralph isn't a Russell, nor Margaret's son? Interesting." A mocking smile played on her lips. "Then whose son is he? Where's the real Ralph Russell?"

Hannah frowned and shook her head. "I don't know. Margaret fainted from stress but didn't reveal anything. The family ended the discussion, and everyone left. I couldn't stay longer."

"Yeah," Heather snorted. "The Russells are useless. Good thing I didn't marry that man. He wasn't a good choice, but I never imagined he was a fraud!"

Heather's playful tone belied her surprise at the events. She hadn't initially expected Ralph's plan to succeed, genuinely looking down on him, but hadn't anticipated Alexander's actions or Ralph's hidden agendas.

"Margaret is ruthless. From what you said, Ralph conspired with her against Alexander, but she betrayed him. Didn't she pamper him? What changed her mind?" Heather enjoyed gossiping, especially about other families' misfortunes. Having ended her engagement with Ralph, she viewed him as a stranger.

Hannah nodded vigorously. "Yes, Margaret is ruthless."

Heather scrutinized her sister. "Why? Are you distressed for him?"
