Overjoyed, Hannah exclaimed, "You could tell it's me? You recognize me?"

Ralph was puzzled by her happiness. "How come she seems pleased that I told her she's not Heather?" he wondered, his fear subsiding. He cocked his head. "So it's true you're not Heather? Who are you then?"

Hannah laughed, delaying her answer. "I told you before. Take a guess!"

"You told me before?" Ralph was even more bewildered. "When did she tell me who she is?"

Hannah simply smiled. He couldn't recall, but then he saw her necklace and remembered her saying her name was Annie when leaving the Russell Estate. His eyes twinkled. "You're Annie?"

Hannah nodded vigorously, tears welling up. "Yes, it's me! It's me!"

Ralph, relieved, laughed, but a nagging doubt remained. He knew her name was Annie, but he didn't understand her resemblance to Heather. And the name "Annie" hadn't surfaced yesterday; she'd allowed him to call her that long ago, when they were dating. "Does it mean that..." he began.

"Are you saying it was you when 'Heather' and I were spending time together?" he asked tentatively.

Hannah nodded, fighting back tears. "Not just sometimes, but most of the time, it was me! My full name is Hannah Riggs. Heather is my elder twin sister."

"Elder sister? You're twins?" Ralph's jaw dropped in shock.

He realized, "Heather and Hannah are twin sisters. Two different people. This has nothing to do with multiple personality disorder!" He'd mistakenly believed Heather suffered from the disorder, and almost ended up believing the same himself.

"So it's real. You two are different people," he said, gently touching her face. Her skin was so smooth he pinched her cheek; she didn't flinch, gazing at him softly. This further confirmed his understanding. "Heather would never let me pinch her like that," he thought. "Even touching her face might have gotten my hand ripped off."

"Yes, it's me! I'm your Annie!" Hannah held his hand to her face, finally releasing her tears.

Ralph found her tears strangely moving. "This is amazing," he thought.

Despite knowing it wasn't Heather crying, the sight was striking because of their resemblance. He traced the contours of her face, noting the identical eyebrows, eyes, mouth, and nose.

"How come you look so much like her?" he asked, awestruck.

"Since I was seven, I've imitated my sisterโ€”her walk, speech, expressions, and quirks. I even dress like her and try to maintain a similar weight. Since we're about the same height, people rarely tell us apart," Hannah explained.
