Chapter 1202

When they reached the door, Chump was waiting. He opened it for Lily. "Mrs. Russell, Ms. Riggs is waiting for you inside."

Lily nodded and stepped forward, pausing at the doorway. She turned to Chump, who stood motionless, his expression unreadable.

"Chump," Lily called, using the name Heather employed. A flicker of surprise crossed his face, causing her to chuckle. "Chump, is there only one Ms. Riggs?"

Chump remained silent, but the surprise in his eyes didn't escape Lily. Her suspicion of Heather deepened.

She expected to find Heather in the living room, but it was empty. Chump then approached. "Mrs. Russell, please follow me."

Lily followed him upstairs. She was surprised to find them heading towards Heather's bedroom. The room smelled strongly of disinfectant and medicine. Is Heather taking medication? she wondered.

"Ms. Christian," she heard Heather's voice before seeing her. Heather sat on the couch, legs crossed, leaning to one side, dressed in comfortable home clothes. Her relaxed posture suggested a degree of familiarity with Lily.

Lily smiled. "Ms. Riggs," she greeted, her gaze drifting from Heather's hands to her legs, then her ankles. Her smile faltered. "Ms. Heather Riggs?"

Heather was taken aback. She frowned momentarily, then smoothed her brow. "You're right. It's me."

"It seems the imposter's work is done," Lily stated, placing a hand on her hip and settling onto a chair as if at home. Chump's expression shifted; he started to move, but Heather raised a hand to stop him.

"Chump, wait outside."

"But Ms. Riggsโ€ฆ" He looked anxious, wanting to remain by Heather's side after the recent incident, fearing for her safety.

"Ms. Christian is civilized. She won't harm me. Right, Ms. Christian?" Heather asked, looking at Lily.

"As long as you remain civilized, I will as well, Ms. Riggs," Lily replied, her meaning clear: no aggression from Heather, no aggression from her.

"Did you hear that? Get out!" Heather directed Chump toward the door. "There are things I want to discuss privately with Ms. Christian. Stay outside; I'll call you when I need you."

Chump left, remaining on guard outside the door.

"Ms. Riggs, your subordinate is remarkably loyal," Lily observed.

Heather smiled. "Enough. I wasn't going to keep anything from you today, since I invited you. You're right. I have an imposterโ€”my twin sister, Hannah Riggs. We look exactly alike, don't we?"

Lily was stunned by Heather's directness. "Yes," she nodded. "You're practically identical."

"Of course. We're twins. She's been imitating me since childhood. No one noticed the differences," Heather said, a hint of pride in her voice, before changing the subject. "But I'm curious, Ms. Christian. When did you realize we weren't the same person?"
