Chapter 1237
His warm lips gently touched her collarbones, a reminder of the previous night. Lilyโs cheeks flushed, and she quickly pushed him away. "How dare you!"
This man, usually cold and distant, had been a ravenous wolf last night. She rubbed her back, frowning at the memory.
Alexander, pushed away, grinned. Noticing her action, he gently rubbed her hands. "What's wrong? Did I hurt you?"
'It's more sore than painful,' she thought. She knew his stamina; she'd tried her best to keep up, but it had been too much.
"Hmph!" she feigned anger. "Don't be so unscrupulous next time!"
"Did I really hurt you?" He picked her up, settling her in his embrace. He gently massaged her back with one hand, cradling her belly with the other.
Lily was startled. "What are you doing?!"
"Atonement," he replied seriously. His massage was excellent, easing the soreness.
"Is it better?" he asked, lifting his head.
"Uhm..." She hesitated, then conceded, "Just a little!" She even gestured to emphasize how little.
"Still angry?" He pressed his chin against her arm, asking softly.
If his employees saw this โ their resolute, feared boss acting like a puppy seeking approval โ their jaws would drop.
Lily found it ticklish and pulled away. "Enough!"
This nearly made her drop her phone. A swipe of her thumb revealed a series of messages, all from the same person: T-A-S.
Frowning, she read the name aloud. "Tas?"
"Touch?!" Alexander was startled by her apparent provocation.
"No, you idiot!" She quickly covered his lips. "Tas? Who's Tas?"
Realizing she wasn't addressing him, he frowned, peering over her shoulder. Lily blocked him, crying helplessly, "Leave me alone!"
"Who's this person, more important than me?" Alexander eyed her phone with dissatisfaction, then squinted at the display name. "Anastasia Rollins?" Lily's eyes widened. "What? You know her?"
Before she could speculate, he thoughtfully replied, "Secretary Rollins's daughter. Didn't I mention her? Do you two know each other? Why's she messaging you?"
"I don't know her," Lily shook her head, looking at him. "But you seem quite familiar. You recognized her instantly."
If Alexander didn't detect the bitterness in her voice, he'd be an idiot.
"Are you jealous?"
