"That's right," Cameron fervently nodded, while Maria smiled broadly.
"Hence, I didn't think my brother-in-law's daughter would harm my daughter. She's so young, yet vicious," Cameron said, directing a cold, stern gaze at Rhea. If looks could kill, Rhea would be in pieces. Fabian and Maria were stunned. Only Rhea's expression remained unchanged; she merely raised her eyebrows. "Uncle Cameron, what do you mean? I don't understand," she said, feigning innocence.
Maria quickly interjected, displeased. "Yes! There must be a misunderstanding! Cameron, how could you say that about Rhea? You said yourself she's your niece. It's too harsh! If Rhea did anything wrong, you can punish her, but this is an attack!"
"Why don't you ask your baby daughter what she has done?" Cameron lifted his chin toward Rhea, patting Anastasia's shoulder.
Maria, slightly doubtful, turned to Rhea. "Ree..."
"I don't know what upset Uncle Cameron," Rhea said calmly. "I think you have a problem with me, and that's why you're treating my parents so terribly. If I did anything wrong, I apologize. Please don't target them because of me."
Rhea's words stunned her parents. Is that it? Did he mistreat us because he dislikes Ree? If so, he's heartless! We've been so kind to Anastasia, Ree might be jealous. What did she do to infuriate him so much? they wondered simultaneously.
"Cameron, let's be upfront," Fabian said, displeased. "It's pointless to beat around the bush."
"Fine. How did Anastasia's body turn out like this? Someone said she was poisoned, right? How did she get poisoned?" Cameron asked, going straight to the point.
The Moores were puzzled. Their exchanged glances revealed mutual confusion.
"Cameron, what does Anastasia's poisoning... have to do with Rhea? You're not suggesting she poisoned her, are you?" Maria asked.
