Rhea walked ahead of Cameron, speaking softly. "Uncle Cameron, I know I'm at fault. I'm responsible for what happened to Tasia." Cameron remained silent. The others watched their exchange with puzzled expressions.

They walked to the center of the living room. Rhea stopped, and Cameron followed suit, maintaining a few feet of distance. She looked up at him, her expression heartfelt.

"Uncle Cameron, I know I've acted childishly, and I'm sorry about Tasia. However, let's consider the larger picture. Please reconsider our earlier discussion about the lab."

"All right, I will," Cameron replied, his voice calmer, almost gentle, a marked contrast to his previous sharpness.

Maria's joy was evident. She glanced at Fabian, whose eyes sparkled with anticipation.

"As for the vaccine development project…" Rhea hesitated.

"I'll think about it," Cameron responded immediately.

Fabian was overwhelmed, nearly fainting with relief. Rhea is incredible! What did they talk about? How did he change his mind? That lab secret must be significant. Anastasia, however, looked dazed and disbelieving. "Dad?!"

She approached him, her concern palpable. "Are we not calling the police?"

"We're family, at the end of the day," Cameron sighed, turning to her. "Tasia, your cousin was being manipulated."

"What?!"

"She's realized her mistake and promised to make amends. The toxins in your body are nearly gone. You'll be okay." He patted her hand, but Anastasia recoiled.

She stepped back, regarding him as a stranger. Only the Moores displayed any happiness.

Maria smiled, stepping forward. "That's right. We're family. Why make a big deal? If Rhea goes to jail, you'll regret it, won't you? You've always been the kindest. Your uncle and I will make up for Rhea's mistakes. Our family will be fine."

Her joy was radiant. Fabian grinned widely. "Yes! Family sticks together! Ron, you're right! I agree!"

Before Cameron could respond, Rhea said, "Now that we've cleared the air, let's go. We'll leave Uncle Ron and Tasia to rest. Uncle Ron will discuss the vaccine and the lab later." This was a subtle cue to avoid further discussion.

Fabian readily understood, nodding repeatedly. "Yes, it's late. You should rest. We'll talk another day. No rush!"

The trio cheerfully waved goodbye. Anastasia, seeing Cameron's lack of reaction, grew anxious, stepping in to block their exit. "You can't leave!"
